But only 4 pts in the 4th quarter.  Choker!

Well, the series win against the Bulls (and LeBron's total domination of ersatz MVP Derrick Rose) didn't help.  In the eye of the public, everything outside the finals doesn't count as a pressure situation.  Unless he fails there, in which case yes, it was a choke.

There was Heat fan at BWW who kept yelling "there's a mouse in the house!" whenever LeBron was in the paint. It was amusing at first but quickly became annoying

My first reaction to this was to wonder if it was the new thing to make vampire comparisons for LeBron.  I blame BN, who could have made the joke work by using proper capitalization.

I don't see why anyone would wear that shit, jesus. But then again I read an SI article where LeBron said he has horrible teeth and doesn't seem to take care of them

Meanwhile my dad is constantly fixated on KG and Wade's teeth. Watching anything with dentists=  :'(

This is why I like Bill Simmons. Not because of his "analysis" because that's never been very on point. Its when he writes articles like these which are human and sort of insight in how a sports fan's brain operates. He has a Stephen King like ability to make the ordinary inner workings of the brain seem a little more interesting.

Yes, good stuff. Hooking your kid on sports is not a rational decision, really. But even when the losses are painful, you are sharing them with a group of people. My homies on twitter went through exactly the same rationalization process that Bill and his dad went through yesterday. That's as valid a bonding experience as sharing the joy of a win.

Guess it's time for my daughter to start hating the Lakers now! Hell she's almost 5 - she needs to be warned about Kobe.

I expect the heat to win tonight but then I expected them to win game 5. If there is one positive thing to look to for the Celtics it's that essentially one guy beat them in the last game. It's highly unlikely anyone will remotely have a game like that for this one.

if LeBron takes exactly the same shots as game 6, and everyone else is as bad, the Celtics should win. But Wade is surely overdue? I have no idea what's going to happen now. In other words, should be a great game!

Somehow Boston is managing to trap and bother BOTH LeBron and Wade on basically every possession, even with KG out. The only real issues are that the paint opens up when KG is out, and that Boston is shooting an unsustainably high FG%. Then again, we're getting layups and dunks and transition fouls. <3 it

Miami's role players are helping make those traps possible by bricking open threes.  The one time it looked like the Heat could really exploit the double teams was when Bosh was hitting those jumpers.

Also, Wade's seemed kinda lax/sloppy from what I've seen this series.  A bit weird.

Yeah, after Battier hit 2 in a row I was really worried that the D would get stretched badly but thankfully they've all reverted to being shit. Bass has hands of stone but he's getting it done regardless. He almost broke Wade's fingers on that dunk :o

Wade has been terrible in first halves, I have no explanation for it other than that he doesn't like double teams. Which I don't really understand because he used to beat double teams like it was no thang

I've always liked Brandon Bass :bow

I'd imagine LeBron will take over in the third.  Still, his passive play is rather puzzling. He's had some nice opportunities

1 quarter left, for all the marbles. CAN'T BREATHE

Wade is killing them on D, so lazy. Glaring at the refs instead of getting back. Worse still, he's getting rewarded for it by successfully cherry-picking :yuck

Rondo 2 boards from a triple-double.

LeBron guarded like 4 guys on one possession there. Just amazing. He recovers the way KG used to be able to.

Well, looks like that's that.

Noticed that Wade dominated the ball for 3-4 possessions in a row once they had a comfortable lead (mostly thanks to LeBron and Bosh), but I don't know if I'm just reading too much into that because of Miami's tendency to turn spectators into amateur psychologists.
