I'm probably more antsy about a basketball game than I've been in years. Maybe since when the Magic with Shaq and Penny made the finals. If the Heat win tonight they essentially win the title. If they lose then I feel like the series is going 7 and its anybody's guess.

Fucking sports. Just when I think I'm out and beyond this shit, they drag me back in.

I'll respectively disagree unless Durant puts up 40+. I think Lebron smells blood. He won't let this finals get away.

I'm rooting for the Heat so I hope so but they almost never finish a team early when they have the chance to.

Maybe you should both stop talking mystical nonsense and think about the fact that through 3 games, the Heat have scored 286 and the Thunder 285. These are two incredibly closely-matched teams. It's not about who smells blood or who lets who off the floor.

According to Hollinger, so far we have only seen the 'Collison - Ibaka - Durant - Sefolosha - Harden - Westbrook' line-up for FOUR MINUTES ALL SEASON (not just the playoffs!). Holy crap.

That line-up should be absolutely devastating against a team as small as the Heat, both offensively and defensively. Blows my mind that we don't see it for at least 20 mins a game. The template for the Thunder to beat the Heat is right in front of 'em!

I think they just have a false sense of security because their regular starting line-up (which looks much more conventional and less risky) is still so damn good, and still overpowers non-elite teams. But sadly it looks like Brooks is determined to do this the hard way. I suppose it means more suspenseful basketball for all of us.

Ohio State big man Jared Sullinger has been medically flagged by NBA doctors who have expressed concern over the player's back, multiple league sources told ESPN.com on Monday.

Heading into Game 4, James is averaging 30.7 points and 9.7 rebounds in the playoffs. Here’s the list of players who have averaged at least 30.7 points and 9.7 boards in a postseason during the modern era:

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Shaquille O’Neal. Hakeem Olajuwon.

That’s it. That’s the list. Three of the all-time great centers.

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/miamiheat/post/_/id/14894/now-playing-lebron-1-through-5-james

:o

And he got 15 boards in gm 3 playing WITH Bosh. That's just who he is now. Someone who gives you 30pts, double-digit rebounds, 5 assists a night, defends your whole team. Ffffuuuuuuu

Well, the Thunder do, not the Heat.

Brooks really really REALLY needs to take this on board. Look at the difference in how FAST they are and how well they defend and get transition buckets. They're not going to get so many points off jumpers as they have been doing (i hope Westbrook doesn'T go into heat check mode) but the defense, energy and ball movement can certainly continue.

And then they run out of gas, offense doesn't settle down, and Westbrook starts jacking shots. They just look so awkward

I don't want Lebron taking another jumper in this quarter. Go down in the post and either shoot or pass. That's where the high percentages are.

to be fair, Harden has been spending a lot of time guarding LBJ.

Who is now hobbling. He is made of iron but he doesn't have much time to get this right. Would be a real shame for this to affect the outcome.

Part of the blame has to go to the coaching staff. You have to let the players know they can't foul after that jumpball.

So if the Heat close out 4-1, they'll have played more home games (3) than the team with 'home court advantage' (which is worth 5pts vs a neutral site, so a 10pt swing from OKC to Miami apparently).

Harden is the missing link for why their offense hasn't been able to hang. He often plays as well as either Durant or Westbrook and he certainly was in every series outside of this one.
