My impression is that Warriors fans (who actually go the games) are awesome, some of the most devoted in the league. They certainly make Hawks fans look awful.

Atlanta fans make everyone look good.

With Orlando's trade exceptions you can deal Hedo Turkoglu for Houston's entire roster except Asik.

Or include Al Harrington for all of it:

He's something like 10th in the entire league in PER...have the horrible feeling they'll ditch him since he has far more value than a back-up PG. He could start for any number of contenders right away, even with the rough edges...imagine him on the Heat, jesus chriiiiiist

They are really freakin' solid at every position so they don't even need to really. What they really should do is sell relatively high on Chauncey before he starts taking away minutes from Bledsoe or Crawford. Of course the locker room considerations may outweigh that but I'd have thought CP3 was all the leadership they'd need and that if anything Chauncey would get in the way with his need for clutch shots/declining athleticism. They don't really need Willie Green or Grant Hill either really. Odom seems to be improving too, may be a salvageable 3rd big after all. I'd still be inclined to go for more rebounding over more scoring though, and give Bledsoe all the backup PG/SG minutes behind Paul and Crawford (who'll play more in the playoffs i'm sure...probably start). They'll need Bledsoe badly against OKC or the Grizz or both.

I wouldn't give up Bledsoe.  He's a beast, maybe a little shorter than the top athletic PGs but he's stronger than any of them, including Rose.  Also, his vision has improved tremendously from last year.   Last year, he would drive wildly into three players and throw up a crazy shot like John Wall.  Now he usually makes the right pass whenever he draws the D.  He must be learning something from CP3.

Problem is, he would need to be getting starters minutes to justify paying him what he will command in free agency. So they have a Harden-like choice. Too good to be a back-up, too expensive to keep. On the other hand, he would be good CP3 insurance. Being the Clippers of course....they might lose both for nothing.

It was interesting seeing Kobe left alone on the perimeter like 4x in the OT. I don't think he's ever been able to play a catch and shoot role, but with Nash on the floor, that might happen more often.

Yeah I didn't understand that. How do you leave Kobe wide open. Thompson's defense was  ???

Nash legit makes the Lakers offense a lot better. Somebody is going to get a better than average shot when he dominates the ball and he makes the passing bug infectious to even somebody like Kobe.

Lakers lose because they give up 20 offensive rebounds, including 9 to Kenneth Faried, thus allowing the Nuggets to take 11 more shots than they did.

How the fuck does a team with Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol give up 9 offensive rebounds to Kenneth Faried?

If it meant Evans went too I wouldn't consider it a total loss. They really just need to let everyone besides Jimmer & Thompson expire and start fresh

I am sure many teams want him. There's not a young big with his talent set out there and they don't come along often.

There are teams that would take him, but none that would offer anything near his potential value.  So the Kings can run the risk of seeing him develop into a star with another team, or keeping him and seeing him continue to lose value as a trade asset.

Have there been any young headcases in the NBA who turned it around while still with their original team?  Zach Randolph and JR Smith seem to have had the light bulb come on in different places, and you have cases like Rodman/Artest where they were still goofballs but were put in situations where the actual harmful stuff was minimized.  It's very possible that Cousins would just have a better shot turning it around somewhere else (if not for the change of scenery, then for Sacramento's recent track record of developing talent), which just adds to their dilemma.

I'm basing that on journo tweets - I'd have thought he had trade value too, but apparently no-one is offering shit for him.

Cousins needs to be aware that he is in a new era of NBA contracts where he will be judged on 'What have you done for me lately' for his whole career rather than for a potential turnaround. If he doesn't get on a veteran team that can keep him focused soon, his career is as dead as Michael Beasley's.

Derrick Williams is starting to look like a major bust as well. Minnesota has got far better value out of the likes of Shved, Pekovic and Kirilenko. Kahn is perplexing.
