Drummond looks like he could be a dominant force for years to come.  If Drummond's mindset is right, he and Anthony Davis would be Dwight/Okafor all over again.

Sources tell Sporting News that the #Clippers have contacted the #Celtics about Kevin Garnett. Offer would include Caron Butler and Beldsoe.

i love Bledsoe but jeez, that's a kick in the balls for Rondo if they take it, innit

KG has a no-trade clause but I guess he would maybe waive that to go to the Clips this year....I'm sure he wants to play with Chris Paul as much as everyone else

Bledsoe has been inconsistent during this bad stretch for the Clippers but I still think that he can be traded for more than KG

The Clippers don't really have a need though, other than insurance for Paul maybe leaving in the offseason. Bledsoe is about as good as you can reasonably expect for that, given that trading the farm away for someone who could genuinely fill Paul's shoes would piss Paul off and induce him to leave...

But this could well be just a feeler to try to establish Bledsoe's market value

just hypothetically though, Bledsoe and Bradley would be a crazily disruptive backcourt. They're undersized but it doesn't seem to stop them.

I wouldn't call Bledsoe undersized.  He's much beefier than most PG.  While he's a little short, his wingspan is huge and of course there's the incredible reflexes and leaping ability.

Paired with Bradley though...I think they're 6'1'' and 6'2'' respectively. The likes of Derrick Rose or John Wall are going to be seeing over them, and one of them would have to take the 2...they're both pitbulls though, i'd take them as a package for sure

(would mention Ricky Rubio but sadly he is sucking too badly to be in any kind of good PG conversation :gloomy)

Well Joe was at least 6'3"-6'4". And one of the best defenders ever. And Isiah was Isiah. You knew what I meant!

They'd be like the opposite of Curry & Ellis. They would be awesome fun to watch though for completely different reasons.

In John Wall's case, giving him a clear jumper isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If a team was going to try to build around a small backcourt, this is probably the right time for it.  How many 2-guards are backing down defenders to score when they've got a strength advantage?  Would be fun to see them try it out.

The problem is, they can't build around Bledsoe if Rondo is coming back. And they can't really trade Rondo while he's hurt, unless it's to a real no-hoper who wants to tank the next two seasons.

It happens.

Especially for fans who didn't grow up in a town with an NBA team. I've always been a free roamer when it comes to franchises. I've had a few different favorite teams/players over the years where I've had to struggle to find a new one once my attraction was over.

Yea, I watched that interview last night. I was shocked at how good Steven A. did.

Also, I don't think it was too smart for Dwight Howard to admit his back hurts when he sits down. Not exactly what a sports team wants to hear if they are thinking about throwing max money at you in the off-season.

I am feeling the Warriors, yes. They are likable and fun, and are on the rise but not yet to the point where it feels like BLATANT bandwagoning, like OKC or the Clippers. They offer a tightwire act thanks to injuries, and their defense and rebounding improvements are a total mystery to the entire league which obviously is a reason to actually watch with your own eyes rather than read box scores...yes...the Warriors...

Has nothing to do with anything but man the Spurs are a well run franchise. Best record in the League as usual with a 38-11 record.

Quote
As of July 2009, the Spurs rank third among active franchises for the highest winning percentage in NBA history; they have only missed the playoffs four times as an NBA franchise.
In their 36 NBA seasons since 1976–1977, the Spurs have captured 18 division titles. They have made the playoffs in 21 of the last 22 seasons, and have not missed the playoffs in the 15 seasons since Tim Duncan was drafted by the Spurs in 1997. With their 50th win in the 2011-2012 season, the Spurs currently hold the record for most consecutive 50+ win seasons at 13.

oh, that's just the dead cat bounce

Rondo being out removes the puncher's chance they had in the playoffs, which wasn't that great to begin with of course. They'd have needed more injuries a la Bosh and Rose to have any hope. But you never know - LeBron could finally get hurt and everything could change. That was enough for me to stick around for the regular season....

how dare that selfish child Dwight not put Kobe's legacy ahead of his own future,

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/8924249/kobe-bryant-challenges-dwight-howard-return-shoulder-injury-play-pain

Quote
(Howard) has never been in a position where someone is driving him as hard as I am, as hard as this organization is," Bryant told MacMullan. "It's win a championship or everything is a complete failure. That's just how (the Lakers) do it. And that's foreign to him.

"When you think about it, there aren't many organizations that look at it that way. There are only two that can really honestly say that's what they live by -- Los Angeles and Boston."

Kobe is one of the few players who manages to say something that annoys me in every single interview.

Dwight took the Magic to the Finals essentially by himself, I think he knows about pressure. Kobe is in 'don't blame ME' mode again I see. God forbid anyone would compare him unfavorably to MJ or anything. That would be so unfair because MJ had awesome centers like Luc Longley and Bill Wennington his whole career, not cripples and tin men like Dwight and Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum

it's almost crazy how much I dislike Kobe

I actually was a Lakers fan growing up, even when they sucked with Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones as the main guys

Kobe is the only reason why I hate the Lakers now

I hate him so much that I will make life miserable for anyone matched up against me who is wearing Kobe shoes

Linsanity is alive and well, though they lost today. Harden hanging with LeBron was impressive...absolutely dusted him on that step-back J just inside the 2 minute mark. The more I watch him though, the more  I realize how he exploits the rules and the refs better than pretty much anybody. His handle lets him keep the ball alive while offering it up on a platter for defenders to swipe at, even at high speed headed straight towards the rim. They usually end up getting his arms instead, and he gets the and 1. He does get whistled for the occasional offensive charge but overall, he gets a crazy amount of calls for someone not desperately tall or athletic.

You Kobe haters are highly illogical.

He's just an annoying dude. Everything he does is just so contrived. And he's too smart to not be self aware of it so that makes it extra annoying. Great player. I'm just don't like the stuff I perceive as phoniness and brazen and obvious manipulation.
