I literally forgot about All-Star Saturday.

This will probably get pulled, didn't see anything of just the dunks yet:

Should be starting pretty soon. I don't care about the Friday or Saturday stuff. I'm not a kid. But even as goofy and as poorly played as the All-Star game is there is a part of me that is always excited to see all those guys on the court at the same time.

The All Star game and Weekend is complete BS and Pop almost certainly treats it like that so in an ironic way they are perfect for each other.

how on earth can Melo be a better pure scorer than KD without actually scoring more points

it's like Reggie has only 140 characters to say one thing about each player, every time

maybe he's a secret stutterer and has to rehearse this shit for hours before the game

I get a little sad when I realize I'm going to have to endure the next decade of Alicia Keys, Beyonce, and John Legend as the musical representatives at every single event. I have nothing against those people. It's just can't we mix it up a little more.

Fun enough first half. Hopefully its close going into the 4th.

watching the clips, the Dunk contest actually had some great, regular dunks this year. I'm sure the show was overlong and tedious of course. Ross and Faried had the best I think, James White choked big-time

I don't think the stage was too big for James White, he's just too old

Those two handed tomahawks and between the legs from ft line were from a long time ago

There were definitely some nice dunks in this year's contest

Only problem I had was too many tries on the same dunk

It should be 3-5 attempts max

They should do an all star game where captains are chosen (Kobe and LeBron), and they get to pick who is on their team from the entire list of all stars. Winning team gets 1mil for the charity of their choosing, plus each player gets some car that hasn't been released yet.

Kanye actually did make a comeback. They sat him next to Shaq and he just looked tiny. Just as the entire viewership was no doubt thinking this, someone came scurrying up with something for Kanye, and Ernie explained that it was for him to sit on

Simple but genius execution

Last night, Wayne told the crowd that he has been banned from all NBA events at the request of the Miami Heat. It's hard to believe that this is actually true, but that didn't stop him from telling the NBA and everyone associated with the Miami Heat to go get fucked. The coup de grâce came when Wayne loudly proclaimed that he has boned Chris Bosh's wife.

Jerry Buss dying leaves the Lakers with a bit of a power vacuum, I guess. Jim Buss seems almost as bad as Jim Dolan in terms of talentless entitled silver spooners.

Michael Jordan Points Out Flaw In LeBron's Game - Business Insider
Quote
"It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. 'So if I have to guard him,' Jordan says, 'I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right.'

"For the rest of the game, when LeBron gets the ball and starts his move, Jordan will call out some variation of 'drive' or 'shoot.' ... He's answering texts, buried in his phone, when the play-by-play guy announces a LeBron jump shot. Without looking up, Jordan says, 'Left?'"

you ARE aware that a player can drive to HIS right on either side of the court?

that said, I don't think MJ would have much luck with that strategy alone. It's pretty basic scouting that the entire league already tries to employ
vjj
