Indy at Miami at 6:00. Although not on national tv which is dumb.

The Streak ends tonight.

I may not think much of Spoelstra as a coach but he is parlaying that job into hot tail which is to be respected.

That's the first game from the Heat that I've watched/listened to where I've been very impressed with the role players.  Battier with great defense, Chalmers with an insane long ball, and Bosh just hitting fucking everything.  Fuck, even Joel Anthony had a decent game.

Oh, and Wade had a season high 6 steals.  Really great team win for the Heat.

R.I.P. Brandon Knight (December 2, 1991-March 10, 2013)

The Pistons should wear patches with his number on it on their jerseys for the rest of the season.

Celtics (3rd best team in the L since Rondo went out!) put up a decent fight for 3 quarters vs OKC but then aged about 15 years before the 4th

Spurs just too much tonight. I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs win a title this season.

I'm really rooting hard for a Spurs Heat title series. That would be so awesome.

Psch, Brandon Knight has been an object of ridicule long before this.

Quote
Jordan made a spectacular play. No one will soon forget it. So congratulations and all. Jordan has a $43 million contract and yet still doesn't have one offensive move, an ability to score outside the paint. Yes, he can leap, dunk on little guys. And somehow that makes him an achiever in the sport now. After this, perhaps even a folk hero.
What is with Woj getting so much sand in his snatch over the last 18 months.

What is with Woj getting so much sand in his snatch over the last 18 months.

He's always struck me as a sanctimonious git.

F'real though, dunks are more fun when someone gets obliterated, and if we're gonna be social and talk to each other about what a great dunk that was, we're also going to talk about the pieces of Brandon Knight they're still finding between the floorboards.  Do we really want to sap the personality out of the experience so much that our first reaction to that dunk is "Well, that was certainly a dutiful effort by Knight, and despite this play, Jordan still needs to develop his midrange game?"

PS I'm not even sure we should praise Knight on that play in strictly basketball terms.  He's trying to get in the way of one of the premiere power dunkers in the league who's also half a foot taller than him.  Predictably, all Knight accomplished was getting his team closer to the penalty and giving the Clips an extra FT.  It's not like he was even thinking about the chance of a clean block either, so I guess I'd need Woj to explain to me how deliberate fouls are in the spirit of the game.

Woj's scouting report is outdated.  Deandre has been working hard and getting better.  His post offense is notably improved over last year's.  .

good form on the header

Maybe Dirk should try out for Germany's soccer team.  It has a much better chance of winning it all than Germany's basketball team.

Spurs Heat Finals would be great and would honestly be Lebron's last great test for me.  Considering Lebron lost easily to them as a Cav in...was it 07?

If he can win against pretty much the same style and team that beat him in 07, then I'd consider the critics having really no more reason to bring up "bububu's" about Lebron.

The Heat-Hawks game is actually pretty good but you'd barely know 'cause they have PJ Brown reminiscing about the glory days all over the place. They're cutting away from him and the announcers yukking it up to about 1 play in 5 ffs

i didn't watch the whole game but it seemed like the Magic were intentionally fouling just to catch up with the other Lakers being too hot

Miami just quietly, methodically beating the crap out of the Sixers here. It's easy to say with this win streak I guess but they really do look like champions. Wade is playing as well as he ever has, but people aren't noticing so much because of LeBron, and Bosh is also at an efficiency peak. Birdman is awesome, Chalmers is hitting the 3...i don't see any weaknesses. Duncan, KG or Dwight are about the only players that can give them real trouble in a series but Duncan is the only one they really have to worry about....I think the Heat would be very happy to draw OKC again vs the Spurs
