Smooth Groove, cheering the Bobcats: That's a good ball club. You can tell their owner wants to win. Maybe they'll land LeBron next year :skip

Boo hoo.  At least you got Drummond.  The Wiz have drafted Kwame Brown, Andre Blatche, Javale McGee, Oleksiy Pecherov, Party John Ramos, Jan Vesely and Kevin Seraphin.

The Wizards are losing at home to the Heat without Wade, Bosh, Wade, and Haslem.

That must be pretty demoralizing.

I'm okay with it if they actually talk about  the game, but it probably won't. NBA broadcasts are too concerned with the narrative that they often talk about things that have nothing to do with the game before them. If that's what you're doing then a play by play guy is useless. He's the only one talking about the actual game, so might as well get rid of him if your broadcast has no interest in doing that.

I am glad to see CWebb get more work. He was great at Summer League.

worst idea ever

What the fuck is this garbage.

I'm okay with it if they actually talk about  the game, but it probably won't. NBA broadcasts are too concerned with the narrative that they often talk about things that have nothing to do with the game before them.

If I want someone to talk about some stupid narrative, then I'll watch some panel show. When I watch a game I want someone to talk about the game.

Lakers trailing at half. Would be a huge loss for their chances if they drop this one

edit: lakers start the 3rd quarter with a 15-2 run.

Yikes.  You gotta gives the Spurs organization the benefit of the doubt and Jackson definitely has a history, but man am I sick of Woj running stories that are basically PR releases from anonymous management sources.

Super bs call on Steph Curry at the end.  How the hell you gonna give two throws to Lakers cuz Curry was trying to fight through a pick?  Blake didn't even lose control of the ball or was hindered in his progress.

On the next possession, a Warrior was clearly pushed by Dwight after rebounding and got no free throws.  It's shit like this that make people think the NBA is WWE.

I like to root against the Lakers. Not hope for injuries against them.

Also when you get these sorts of injuries at Kobe's age, its never a given that you can come back. I never like a legend to go out that way.

Quote from: Reddit comment
D'antoni's Journal.
April 12th, 2013: Kobe's carcass in locker-room this morning, achilles torn and knee busted. This team is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The basketball courts are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood, and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their extended minutes and nagging injuries will foam up about their waists, and Kobe and Pau will look up and shout "Rest us!"... and I'll whisper "no."

Very sad affair but this did make me chuckle.
