Gasol's post game is ugly but I think Randolph's post and jump shot game is fine.

Randolph used to have some moves pre-injury but now 90% of his pts come from push offs or jumping into a defender

Gasol has one of the featheriest, highest-arcing jump shots of any big man ever? He just doesn't shoot it enough.

Nice win tonight despite another great game from 2nd Best, still feeling very confident the Grizz will advance

Nate Robinson playoff PER this year. 20.72
Dwyane Wade  playoff PER this year.  17.93
Chris Bosh playoff PER this year. 16.08

Admittedly a low sample but still.

Or maybe the Bulls are exploited union workers tolling for a group of greedy idiots who don’t know how to properly manage talent. Maybe the Bulls are injury-riddled because Thibodeau pushes them too hard, makes his available players play too many minutes in pursuit of cementing his “legend” as the coach who gets the most out of the least.

MIAMI—After receiving 120 of 121 first-place votes from NBA media members, Miami Heat star LeBron James admitted to reporters Thursday that he can’t enjoy his fourth league Most Valuable Player award with the knowledge that Boston Globe writer Gary Washburn didn’t cast his ballot for him. “Sure, it’s nice to be in the same company as other four-time MVP winners Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, and Michael Jordan, but knowing Gary Washburn didn’t think I deserved this makes it just seem worthless,” said James, stressing that Washburn, who voted for New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony, is the only journalist whose opinion truly matters within NBA circles. “Yeah, I led my team to a league-best 66-16 record, a 27-game win streak, and averaged over 26 points and 7 assists per game, but honestly, who cares? We all know Gary’s vote is what counts, so I just can’t help but think Carmelo deserves this honor more than I do.” In light of Washburn’s vote, Heat president Pat Riley is reportedly strongly considering trading James after this season.

Following the Bulls upset of the Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, Chicago center Joakim Noah boldly guaranteed Monday that he will annoy the living fuck out of Miami in this series. “Mark my words, no one on the Heat can stop me from getting in their faces and irritating them every fucking second,” said Noah, looking straight into one of the cameras and emphatically promising to single-handedly start shit with “every one of those assholes on the Heat.” “I guarantee that I’ll trash-talk after making easy layups, scream after every rebound, and howl like a fucking lunatic while driving to the hoop.” Noah, who was asked whether his words might motivate the Heat, said that the media overhyping player predictions was pretty fucking annoying, which proved that he was off to a good start.

It's just so weird how Nate Robinson has suddenly become a bad matchup for everybody. Miami can't seem to handle him. He either creates a good shot for himself or somebody else.

he's too quick.  he doesn't shoot well most of the time, but when he gets off those screens by noah, he can jet to the basket or just take those jumpers every possesion.  eventually he'll hit them.

What bothers me isn't necessarily him scoring which he can do but how he creates open looks for others and then dishes. He should have more assists tonight. The Bulls have just missed some open shots. If the Bulls lose this one they will kick themselves. This is one they could have stolen.

Heat got this now on a night when it looked like they didn't have it together. Nice win in that sense.

Nate Robinson has impressed the shit out of me. This is essentially Linsanity 2.0 but doing it in the playoffs when the games actually matter and the defense is much tougher.

The group trying to move the Sacramento Kings to Seattle is continuing to be relentless in its pursuit.

And the NBA could be listening.

Chris Hansen and Steve Ballmer, the deep-pocketed Seattle-based investors trying to acquire the team, have struck a new deal with the Kings' current owners, the Maloofs, that may create more drama in Sacramento and the league office.

Two sources told ESPN.com the Maloofs have informed their fellow owners that if their deal to sell and relocate the Kings to Seattle is not approved by league owners next week, they will not sell the team to a Sacramento-based group that promises to keep the Kings in Sacramento.

Instead, the cash-strapped Maloofs have made a "backup" agreement with the Hansen-Ballmer group to sell it 20 percent of the team for $125 million to allow the Maloofs to continue to operate the franchise.

That new "backup" plan comes on the heels of Hansen's announcement on Friday that he had upped his offer to buy the Maloofs' 65 percent of the Kings to $409 million (from $358 million) for a total valuation of $625 million.

Sources said that new proposal also included a $115 million offer to owners as a relocation fee, which would amount to about $4 million per team. By comparison, in 2008 when the Oklahoma City Thunder moved from Seattle, they paid a $30 million total fee to the other owners.

To consider these incredible new figures, the NBA relocation committee is planning to re-evaluate the Hansen-Ballmer offer and has scheduled another meeting ahead of next Tuesday's full owners meeting in Dallas, sources said.

Reminds me of the old Jazz. They used to spark their runs with flops and holds. They were great at feeding off negative energy. Spurs doing the same to the Dubs.

They're both jump shooting teams, so it will be back and forth on who's hot. The Spurs have Duncan but Bogut can neutralize his post game pretty well.

The Spurs haven't found a way to exploit Curry on defense. Curious if they just give a guy like Green a chance to go at him.

The Maloofs are sort of amazing. I've been dealing with them long enough to know that if this gets shot down yet again, they'll refuse to sell to the Sacramento Group and say they're keeping the team and committed to Sacramento and getting a new arena.

The fact that the Hansen/Ballmer group is willing to go the Bennet route now is amusing. They seem to be going the scorched earth route. The reasons being I imagine are that they don't feel expansion will come soon enough for their arena agreement to still exist. It's getting slimy and they're letting the Maloofs drag them down into their Maloofery.
