Kinda baffled at Haslem starting and getting the minutes he's getting.  Good enough defensive player and has a wicked baseline jumper, but they have him on Lopez tonight and its just not at all working.  Swap Bosh to Lopez and have Haslem take Johnson.

edit: or take Haslem out in general and put Battier in.

Impressive start for a team that nearly everybody thought would be historically bad. 3 games is too small a sample size of course to read anything in to but even if they are terrible, they will probably end up being regular terrible instead of all time terrible.

Hard for me to be a believer with MCW. He looked physically unready for the NBA in summer league and preseason.

Much of the Toronto media still doesn't understand that Rudy Gay is worse than Jay Cutler. Fuck, last night on Prime Time Sports he was called a star equal to Phil Kessel! I fucking hate Phil Kessel, but that's a bigger insult to him than when he was picked last for the All-Star game. Phil Kessel can shoot and pass.

Seriously a 32 FG% and a 1:4 assist to turnover ratio?

The season hasn't even started yet...

Wiggins is going to dominate at Kansas but I think it'll take some time. He hasn't looked that good in the preseason, and his ballhandling still looks suspect. I think he'll be really good, but I don't believe he's on Durant's level. Durant dominated at Texas with ease, whereas I think Wiggins is going to be pushed around a bit.

At the end of the day Kansas is going to be very very good, and should go deep in the NCAA tournament. Wiggins will have a lot of time to get used to better competition.

IMO Marcus Smart is the best player in college ball until someone proves otherwise.

I think analysts focus too much on whether a player has a "want to dominate" mentality.  Lots of young punks have that mentality and are still garbage.

What's more likely with Wiggins is that he is not yet strong enough to maximize his skills against older, stronger players.  That's fine for a freshman as long as he's willing to put time in the weight room.

Durant is unique in this regard because his outstanding jumper allowed him to basically be a 6'10 guard and not bang as much.

The Durant comparison is perfect. Wiggins doesn't have a consistent jump shot yet so he's struggling. He's going to need to bulk up, which will come naturally through the season.

and he needs to improve his ballhandling

Lakers get to get their asses kicked by the Rockets tonight. Should be fun.

Also Derrick Rose has more turnovers than assists so far and is shooting 31% at the moment in 4 games.
