This is the first time I've seen the blame for that game 6 loss put on Manu.

Well, he deserves some of it.  Dude was pretty awful in games 6 and 7.  Only had one good game honestly in the finals, game 5.

I just don't really like Chris Paul.  Love Griffin though.  Just gotta pull for Steph.  I need more heat checks in the playoffs.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is expected to be named league MVP early next week, according to sources close to the situation.

Quote
Philadelphia 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams will be named the NBA Rookie of the Year, sources with knowledge of the voting have confirmed to ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

Quote
Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale will return to the team next season, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

Quote
The NBA will appoint a chief executive officer to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Los Angeles Clippers, the league announced Saturday.

Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned for life from the NBA and fined $2.5 million on Tuesday by commissioner Adam Silver for racist remarks he made that were published by TMZ.

Team president Andy Roeser, one of the Clippers' two alternate governors besides Sterling, had been in charge of the team since Silver's announcement on Tuesday. Roeser, however, drew the ire of many in the organization after he released a statement initially giving Sterling the benefit of the doubt in the wake of Sterling's remarks.

Once appointed, sources said, the CEO will supersede Roeser, and be given the power to decide if Roeser remains with the organization.

The decision to appoint a CEO was made in concert with the Clippers organization. No timetable for the appointment was given except to say that it would be made "quickly."

Games went as expected this evening. Arguably the "right" team won in each case. I had the games on my second monitor as I was busy on my computer and couldn't post in the thread as they were going on.

San Antonio should win tomorrow but I'm rooting for Dallas.

I'm not sure who will in the Nets Raptor game but I'm rooting for Toronto. I'd like to see a canadian team get some good karma.

I'd say 4 wins against the defending champs is decent credit to give them.  Plus, two players that absolutely murder Lebron in the playoffs are on the Nets.  The Heat are getting taken to a game 7.

He's always been a terrible rebounder for his size. It was the rim protection that made up for that but he isn't doing a good job of that currently either. If he's hurt, I would think somebody in the organization would have said something to protect him from the media pummeling he is getting. He probably just needs a new environment. He has lost confidence. I'd like to see him in Dallas if they can work a trade.

Number of games by Roy Hibbert where he had zero points and zero rebounds while starting and playing more than three minutes: five

Number of games by Darko Milicic where he had zero points and zero rebounds while starting and playing more than three minutes: two

Number of games by Yinka Dare where he had zero points and zero rebounds while starting and playing more than three minutes: zero

Trailblazers Spurs series should be fun and crazy offensive but I think the Spurs should take it.

Nets Heat is an odd one. Miami definitely played like crap against the nets this year. Hard to figure out exactly why other than the depth of the Nets. Miami is a team that half-assed the regular season though so its hard to pick against them when it counts.

Interesting factoid of the day.

Quote
This series marks the 26th time that teams will meet in a best-of-seven series after one club went 4-0 or better against the other in the regular season. In each of the first 25 such instances, the regular-season winner also won the playoff matchup.

I don't really follow the Warriors but I know a lot of people who do didn't like the job Jackson was doing. The thing is, I think that team performed about as expected. I think that squad is flawed in many ways. We'll see how the next guy does.
