And we are back. That spurs offense gave Miami fits the first game. Spurs shot 59% overall. And 52% from 3 point range.

Let's see if any adjustments are made.

First Quarter down.

Spurs offense too efficient still for Miami.

This is starting to look like a must win for Miami. Going down 2-0 to the Spurs would be brutal.

If the Heat would actually show up on defense they'd be winning this game right now.

I think they've played decently defensively this game by comparison. It's just the Spurs are that good.

Close game obviously...

It always feels like the spurs are in control and then it comes down to who can execute down the stretch. Much better Miami defensive effort. But it always feels like the Spurs are on the verge of making a big run and blowing it open when these teams play. But it just seems to stay close.

11-24 46%.

That's not too stupid imo.

That 3 point shot keeps miami honest and stops them from stuffing the lane. I'll take that percentage from 3's any game.

LeBron fouled the shit out of Parker's hand on that out of bounds play that they spent forever reviewing.

If someone hit LeBron like that it's a foul. I'm no conspiracy theorist but that's just blatant superstar rules shit.

Mario Chalmers played just 17 minutes in Game 1 and had more fouls (5) than points (3). He also managed to have 5 turnovers in that limited amount of time. Overall, Chalmers' production has gone down in the last 10 games. He's averaging nearly 5 fewer points, shooting much worse from the field and the Heat are -11 in those games with him on the court. · Chalmers hasn't had a double-digit scoring game in the last 10 games. · He has more turnovers (20) than made field goals (19) in last 10 games. · His touches per game have dropped from 64.2 per game in the first 6 games to 53.3 per game in the last 10. He's averaging only 43.2 touches per game in the last 6 games.

And Chalmers is a free agent this off-season. Way to earn those big bucks.

Also this was pretty sweet.

Praying to the old gods and the new that SA can get one in Miami. Losing game 2 was potentially one of the most catastrophic things in sports history.
I don't see it. They played really well for most of game two yet once Miami started playing defense the atmosphere changed. Plus you know Manu will have at least two huge turnovers tonight.

Nice article on Bosh.

Quote
The pain from the 2010-11 season forced Bosh to come to grips with a sober realization: He was never going to be a fan favorite. No matter what he did, he was never going to win the adoration of the average NBA viewer. So he opted for a more fulfilling lifestyle, one in which he could revel in his differences.

"After that, it changed me," Bosh says. "Man, I'm just going to be myself. I shouldn't have to apologize for that. If people don't understand that, then they don't understand it. I'm not going to try to be somebody I'm not."

Bosh gave up the fight. Instead, he dedicated himself to winning over those closest to him: his family, his team and his friends. After the first season, he blocked out the noise and stopped watching the sports pundits, and the only NBA articles he read were ones that his father or wife forwarded his way. Winning over his team meant playing defense, stretching the floor, doing the little plays that don't show up in the box score, only in scouting reports and advanced stats.

Crazy thing is the Heat actually shot well.

Currently at 53 from the field overall. And 50% from 3 point range. They just couldn't stop the juggernaut Spurs offense which shot 60%.

The 20 turnovers from the Heat were also really bad with Lebron coughing up 7 and Wade another 5.

Chalmers was absolutely useless again tonight. 0-5. 2 points. Cole has also not been very good as his backup so the heat are getting absolutely nothing from that position.

Chalmers is trash, he won't be back next year regardless of what happens.

I expect the Heat to bounce back big time in the next game and tie things up. Still think they'll win the series.

I wouldn't count the Heat out, they just need to find a role player that can step up and help them win them a game. That's essentially what happened last year with Haslem/Battier. I just don't think Coles/Lewis are those dudes though.

When the Spurs are clicking they are unlike anything else in basketball. There are no wasted players out on the floor like with every other team. Everybody actually can score or pass at any time so the role players aren't like the role players on the heat or the thunder where they are only out there because they have one specific basketball ability. The system gets the absolute best out of them. If Chalmers were on the Spurs he would be just as dangerous as any of these other Spurs players.

You could argue the Heat got incredibly lucky to beat this Spurs team last year.

I thought the Sours definitely had a pretty good chance at winning this finals.

I didn't think they would absolutely crush the Heat like they have done.
