Kyrie with fantastic shooting tonight, but this is not how the Cavs need to win games.  More points from Lebron and love are needed, and more assists from Kyrie are too.

Cavs steal an ugly one but the W is all that counts. Lots of problems tonight though against a sub-par team.

Them versus the Spurs in a playoff series would be epic.

Cavs play Raptors tonight on the road. Should be an interesting test against a good team on a back to back when the Cavs already looked lethargic last night.

I don't think Kyrie occasionally having big shooting nights like he did last night is the problem. He was clearly hot while the rest of the team wasn't, so when people over-react to the assist numbers in some occasions, I think they are not understanding what was going on during the flow of a particular game.

That being said, good offense is like porn. You know it when you see it. Watching the Spurs or the Warriors last night, everybody was cutting, everybody was selfless, the big man aren't just statues camped out in the lane. The Cavs still aren't anywhere near that yet obviously. We'll see where they are around the all-star break.

Good first quarter for the Cavs. Much more active on offense and defense compared to last night.

At least Amare comes off the books next year.

They'll have a lot more money to upgrade the team next season.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been diagnosed with viral meningitis and will be sidelined at least another week.

The Kings said Sunday night that Cousins' symptoms are stable and a full recovery is expected. He has sat out the last five games with what the team initially called a viral infection, which sent him to the hospital for tests last week.

Sacramento plays Utah on Monday and visits the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday before hosting Houston on Thursday and Detroit on Saturday. Cousins is not expected to play in any of those games.

Cousins is averaging career highs of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. Sacramento has gone 1-4 since Cousins has been out.

Unfortunate for him and the team.

Per needs to have a minutes weight attached to it to make full sense.
That kinda defeats the purpose of it.

Just use WS or VORP from B-R to get something like that.

Regarding Wright he averages 17/8 with 3 blocks per 36 minutes (leading the league in block %) while scoring at 75% (74% on FG's AND FT's) so he's going to show up near the top of any per minute/possession based summary stat on the latter fact alone.

I just don't get the Pistons. Didn't expect much but they're losing to bad teams as badly as they lose to good teams. Drummond seems to be in a funk or isn't getting the touches you'd expect a soon-to-be-elite caliber big man to get.

I thought they've looked better in the last five games or so, they should have really won three or so of those.

SVG seemed really intent on making Smith/Monroe/Drummond work, but he's recently seemed to come to terms with the fact that you can only really play two of the three at once. (And that Smith is a terror for OTHER teams at PF.) I think they were on the floor together for a single free throw in the Thunder game.

It also lets you put another shooter on the floor which he probably loves. Jennings also seems to play better when the floor has more spacing since he likes those little pockets for dumb long jumpers which are like some kind of stress release. (I think he has a shot timer in his head.)

Not really liking our chance of keeping our draft pick this year. This team still sucks, but we aren't sucking quite enough.
Some Knicks fans have been saying that we might as well tank this season for some kid named Okafor. Anyone know anything about him?

The Knicks will be better anyway next year just become of cap-room.

The only damage being done right now is maybe to Carmelo's reputation which might hurt when it comes to attracting people but whatever. Money tends to trump that anyway.

I know, I just wanna know about this kid. I don't follow college or high school ball, so I never know anything about the top draft picks until the off season.

Melo is also playing a bit hurt now which sucks. Constant knee issue and recently back spasms. I hope no one tries to blame this season on Fisher. He got thrown into a terrible situation.

okafor...plays for Duke. Projects to be Anthony Davis Lite.

Gonna need a couple of years to develop but has great potential as an inside/transistion/defense guy with decent passing skills.

I understand tanking for a once in a generation player. I don't understand tanking year after year for marginal talent rookies like is popular now. As a fan I wouldn't support it. Like no fucking way I would support what the 76ers have done. But to each his own I guess.

I mean yeah they are crazy bad but did anyone expect anything different. They got rid of the one guy that played defense so the team went from bad to god awful on that side of the ball.

And the offense is talent deprived and utterly one dimensional.

The New York Knicks were en route to their fifth straight loss last week against Brooklyn when a frustrated Tim Hardaway Jr. screamed angrily, "Get the rebound!"

Certain his second-year teammate was speaking to him, Carmelo Anthony approached Hardaway on the way down the court and used an expletive to ask Hardaway who in the world he thought he was talking to.

Anthony, according to sources, used another expletive in telling Hardaway he was going to beat him up when they got into the locker room after the game.
