I need to watch more of the Hawks. I have no idea how they are doing what they are doing outside of generic "Spurs" system talk.

I like Bron's explanation. If he was gonna say that shit he'd do it at Wade's house, not in front of cameras. I dot even want to think about how horribly my bro talk could be misconstrued if examined out of context.

The struggling Cleveland Cavaliers won't be able to lean on LeBron James in the near future.

James is expected to miss two weeks after tests revealed injuries to the superstar's left knee and lower back.

The Cavaliers announced in a release Thursday that multiple examinations, including an MRI, showed that James has knee and back strains. The tests were performed Wednesday before the Cavs lost their third straight game, a 96-80 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

James, who has missed Cleveland's past two games, will undergo several forms of treatment, including anti-inflammatories, the team said. The four-time MVP has never missed more than five straight games in his professional career; if the two-week timetable holds up, his absence could reach 10 games or more.

Pistons are playing well without Osh Smith, what a surprise!

Seems like Drummond is getting the ball more. Didn't score much at all last night but he'll be fine. Get him the ball. Man if this team had a more traditional but deadly PG like Rondo...

getting back Shumpert and JR Smith

 :ufup

I'm almost of the opinion that this season is done for Cleveland.

Other than getting 2 for 1 in the deal it doesn't really seem like anything great. I'd rather have Waiters honestly than JR smith but then I absolutely detest the way JR plays.  They both are incredibly flawed. Shumpert at least plays defense I guess.

Nothing here that helps at the center position which is arguably the bigger problem also.

Just feels like a panic trade that doesn't actually move the needle in any significant way. Cleveland made a number of these type trades when Lebron was there the first time and ended up fucking up the roster.

Well liked, but injury prone and hasn't developed at all really since we drafted him. I hope he can do better in Cleveland/somewhere else and keeps smashin' Teyana Taylor.

Wondering if Phil Jackson will really be able to find any takers for Amare or Bargnani's expiring contracts before the Feb. deadline. Might as well finish cleaning house. Our season is already over.

I don't think anyone has a trade exception big enough to take Amare's contract or wouldn't send back something worse. He should think about Boozering his way to 20/10. Might sucker some team like the Kings into thinking his knees aren't completely shot.

Jennings actually has been pretty good for the Pistons, he was slumping right before Smith got dumped, but before that had been playing pretty well.

Jodie Meeks playing and DJ Augustin becoming Andre's buddy are two key factors because Caron Butler is a waste of space and Jennings doesn't have the patience for a spontaneous no-set alley-oop to Drummond like Bynum mastered and Augustin has recently picked up. Bonus is that Augustin is actually a scoring threat. That "play" has been huge for the Pistons bench (and in general) the last three years because it lets Andre stand outside on offense but still have to be watched. (Unlike say, Ben Wallace.)

Good old JR!

Cavs are garbage without Lebron. Which is just embarrassing because they weren't exactly world beaters when he was there.

We gotta see what happens with the Salary cap. Haywood's expiring next year can get us 11.5 million + whatever 2nd round picks we can trade off.

I doubt we'll resign thompson as he's probably going to get 4/50 somewhere (Lebron's management team is the devil)

If I had my druthers we'd let love leave and get Milsap, who I believe fits much better with Kyrie and Lebron but it won't happen.

The Cavs have no second round picks left. They dealt them all out to 2019 and the conditions on the others are unlikely to have the Cavs wind up with them.

The Cavs aren't signing anyone if LeBron doesn't opt out and resign for less immediately plus Love opting out and leaving. And Haywood's contract becomes guaranteed on August 1st. Tristian Thompson is one of LeBron's friends apparently plus they have the same agent.

Yes, as that source makes clear, the Cavaliers have traded all their second round picks out to 2019*.

As for the ones they've "acquired" from other teams. See all those "protected top 55" clauses? That means the Cavs aren't getting 'em except potentially the Clippers pick in 2016.

EDIT: *To make it clearer, 2015 to Jazz, 2016 to Celtics, 2017 to Celtics, 2018 to Sixers, 2019 to Knicks.
