He's doing two things right now:

1) Playing out of his mind. He is fantastic right now.

2) Exposing the NBA and their lack of big men who can play around the rim.

Would not have expected Rudy Gay or Mike Conley to be so low on that list, interesting.

Well Rudy started off better which was surprising given that's he never been a very efficient player, but since the Malone firing, that team has been on the skids which is dragging down him and Cousins.

I like Conley. He is what he is. You know what you will get out of him always and he's pretty consistent.

That Kevin Love box score.  I'm kind of surprised the media has layed off him unlike Bosh.

I don't know what the future holds but I find it hard to believe either party will want to continue the partnership if it remains like this.

Why are you reading into this so much?  The dude is a constant double double machine.  He's usually scoring between 10-20 points a game.  He's fine, he's just not putting up number one option numbers anymore because he doesn't have to.  Bosh was exactly the same the first year or so.

True, the team is winning which should be the focus but I can't help but think Love is frustrated. Does he truly want to be the third option on a team that might win one playoff series, or would he rather be the man somewhere else?

Cleveland has caught Chicago in the standings. Looking at it, its possible to see them as the #2 seed eventually in the east if they keep up the play.

The Heat lost again are in deep shit when it comes to making the playoffs since Wade is gone for a good chunk now.

But my god whiteside.

24 points on 12 of 13 from the field. 20 rebounds.

Spurs started sitting Duncan and Parker..what 4 or 5 years ago and got fined for it. After that look at most all-star level players missed games stats. Bad trend for people paying 50+ dollars a ticket man.

Before they changed the rule, when he was a Hawk, Boris Diaw used to always run along the baseline for inbounds and refs never called it because they probably figured nobody would be doing it and weren't watching.

Even though that was earlier last year he did the same thing last night. All the Cavs starters sat the fourth and were joking and dancing and Love looked like he was about to meet his divorce attorney.

I think it's hilarious that the year that Bosh was supposed to go back to being an alpha dog of his team, some random seven-footer shows up and disrupts everything.

I keep waiting for Whiteside to come back down the earth and he keeps putting up 14 and 20 with 4 blocks. At this point I'm not so sure he isn't the real deal now.

Edit: But his gains are clearly due to the NBA having all of about 5 real centers left.

Whiteside's per minute rebounding and block numbers have always been insane at the NBA and D-League level. His total numbers in the D-League were like Wilt Chamberlain or something. Rebounding/blocks are two of the best per minute stats for staying consistent as minutes increases.

As Tyson Chandler, DeAndre Jordan, Andre Drummond, etc. have shown, you grab enough offensive boards and do pick and rolls and you can get double figures scoring pretty easily.

I don't think subliminal tweets are "leadership" but that's just me. To be fair, the same people criticizing this are the same people who deify Michael Jordan. IE the guy who talked shit about his team mates, didn't get them involved, was a dick, etc. LeBron doesn't do any of that and is a better person/teammate.

It's definitely leadership because it's really only subliminal to you. Love knew EXACTLY what Lebron meant as he used Love's own words when he made it. Love is a guy who wants to be admired, but to earn that he needs to be part of the team and not aloof as he has been all season.

I never really came at it from that angle of criticizing Lebron or not.

The more interesting part of it for me, was that this is confirmation that there was/is indeed a gulf or conflict or whatever you want to call it between Love and the team.

I'm not sure if it's a "conflict" or a "personality difference" actually. Love is pretty low key and isn't very emotional and that can be taken as detached. I think Lebron is just saying "you're one of us man, come on and have some fun"
