I don't know when Lebron is gonna stop throwing those obvious pick and roll passes where you know its going to be intercepted before he even throws it.

I like Webber. I think he's one of the better color guys they have. Not that he can't fall into the trap of too much conventional wisdom.

Feels like the Cavs should be up by like 30 but the lead is only 10. Good sign for the Warriors in general no matter how the rest of the game goes.

Cavs playing really well with Lebron on the bench here. That is impressive. I thought that was a dangerous move to pull him out here but they are impressing. Even Love seems way more aggressive.

Hella impressive win for the Cavs. That's the first time I've seen them play this year and really thought here is a title contender. They seemed like they had a lot of pieces all doing the right things tonight.

The Warriors didn't have a great night shooting. Which isn't going to happen a lot but still very good win.

That game didn't go the way I thought it would. I expected a lot more 3's. Lebron really set the tone for the team by bullying the Warriors down low. The entire team was aggressive and the refs let them get away with it.

I'd love to see a seven game series between the two teams. Cleveland has more talent, but the Warriors have a better team concept.

People are saying Rose could be back in 4 to 6 weeks but that seems highly optimistic for someone with his injury history.

I just want the Cavs to win so we don't have to watch the same tired 'Cleveland sports history' segment they trot out on Sportscenter three times a year.

It's become as annoying as when they used to do it for the Red Sox (pre-2004).

Uh, can we talk about how terrible Lebron was tonight please?  Because he was fucking awful.  Entire 4th quarter and OT was Lebron hero ball, iso bullshit.  Love was on the floor and having a solid shooting night and Lebron ignored him completely.  And he didn't hit jack shit from the FT line.  Terrible, terrible game for him.  Fun game though, would be a cool finals series.

One of the impressive things about the Heat in retrospect was that when you took away one of the big three the heat still won a large majority of their games. When you remove one of the big three from these Cavs, the team seems to diminish a good deal.

I still think the offense in general is too Lebron-centric on the Cavs rather than creating a good flow of passing the ball around and just creating good shots for anybody at anytime.

And Lebron should not be MVP. There has been a recent surge of people trying to stoke interest in that but it shouldn't happen. Top 5. Sure. MVP. Hell no.

I wouldn't go that far, this was an extremely good game against one of the best teams in the West, and the Cavs overall looked great.  Lebron just dragged the team down at the end.  If he got Love and Smith more involved and actually hit his FTs, this was a Cavs win.

And I'd vote Harden 1, Lebron 2 at this point for MVP.

I don't see how Curry isn't beyond Lebron in MVP voting. I'd probably also put Westbrook ahead of him honestly with the terrible injury situation that team has had, along with playing in a tougher conference to boot.

Lebron's play lately has been better than Currys.  And I still say if you take Lebron off this team, it'd be a trainwreck (remember, 1-9 without him during the injury).  Curry off that team...yet to be known I suppose.

Can't give Westbrook MVP because his team is an 8th seed and he's chucking way too much.

I think Lebron's ego got the best of him. In the same building as Harden with all the fans shouting MVP at him. He wanted to be the one to shut them up.

Those refs were ridiculous though. Was it 1995 throwback night? I was surprised that Lebron even got that call on that drive. Even then, it came in late.

Pretty much. This game proved a couple of things;

1) With Kyrie we beat the rockets, handily.

2) Kevin Love is NOT a max level guy. He just doesn't do enough to earn that cash. I've said it before and I'll say it again if we had Milsap in the place of Love we'd be a better team.

And goddamnit Lebron, do something about your free throws man.

Yup I agree the Cavs shouldn't worry too much, they barely lost despite their second best player being out.

Love...dude just seems so dependent on other players. He stands around a lot, and while he's a good passer more often than not he isn't really wowing on that front either. He had a few games where he got hot early in the paint but yesterday he seemed to be camped at the 3 point line again. LeBron WANTS his teammates to succeed, you would think that Love would thrive in such a system.

I have watched him in more than 1 game just sit at the 3 point line and NEVER enter the paint. I guess in Blatt's offense he prefers a spot up 4 which is prevalent in Europe.

I think there is just as much blame to be placed on the system on how they are using Love. They don't pick and roll with him. They rarely actually ask him to go into the paint and post up. They stick him in the corner and use him as a three point shooter because that's the design of the offense. It's hard to do much with the role he has been given which is essentially glorified three point shooter. His numbers are very similar to Bosh numbers in that role except he's shooting more 3's.

Well said. The only real difference between Bosh and Love is that Love's defense is terrible. He isn't aggressive and he doesn't play passing lanes well.

I don't know if Love's just a bad pick and roll player or what but Lebron seems to love running the pick and roll with Mozgov. He loved doing it with Varejao. So I don't understand how there isn't a steady diet of Pick and Pops/Rolls with Love.

He lived off the pick and roll with the Wolves which makes it even more odd. It has to be the offense Blatt is employing.

See that's my problem, he actually played within his strengths sunday. Pissed me right off. I wanted a 2-13 line coming from him.

I've flipped on Harden he should be MVP because he ignores Josh Smith anywhere past 15 feet from the basket. That takes balls.

A lot of people forget but that's what the Suns did with D'Antoni. Dealt Marbury and junk, fired the coach who had just coached them to the playoffs, gave him a bunch of garbage and said "see if any of this is of value and if you can make Joe Johnson actually do anything." Signed Nash and Q-Rich, got Amare back, bam 60 wins.

Lebron hit some big three's down the stretch to beat toronto tonight but I still don't like how the offense bogs down in those situation.

That being said, Cleveland still scored 117 points.
