Celtics have an amazing coach. I like what they've been doing
they're a bunch of spare parts. outside of Crowder, IT, and maybe Bradley I don't think anyone on that roster is safe
I do think Brad Stevens has a bright future at the NBA level though
He's not afraid to break his rotation and adjust to a new situation specific one. Something his lack of "stars" has allowed him to do to be fair. Most NBA coaches will ride their rotation until it breaks and then ride it harder for some insane reason. Rick Carlisle had to learn to not do this over the years.
The opposite being when Don Nelson beat the Mavericks in the first round it was because he freaked out Avery Johnson so much before hand that Johnson broke his rotation out of fear instead of using the normal one on the court to start and THEN adjusting. (Something Spolestra had to learn too, playing Joel Anthony and other garbage like Jamaal Magloire for half the game or more because he was convinced he needed a "real" center on the floor. Then suddenly realizing he could just play Haslem or Bosh there and they stopped losing until the 2011 Finals.)
Stevens was impressed with his players' energy and spirit but said they lacked poise.
After the game, he repeated to his players a statement he once heard: "`When considering the consequences of not doing the little things, you realize there are no little things.' That applies to us right now."
