Oh I for sure did especially after he got suspended for the Goodell remarks.  I'm just a huge fan of Grantland and the BS Report and all of his writers.  He'll leave and Grantland will stay, only for ESPN to ruin it and eventually ax it because it doesn't make money.

I'm positive he'll keep grantland. From what was said seems like ESPN isn't very supportive of it anyway.

Bill is very smart but he also has a surprisingly big ego. He seems like the type who is going to create a problem where ever he goes. That being said, good luck to him. Grantland was a good idea. His podcasts and 30 for 30 work was good stuff.

It was announced Grantland would remain an ESPN entity.  David Cho is leaving as well.

Simmons will be fine.

This was destined to happen though. ESPN thinks they make the stars (and they do) and Bill is a unique personality that made himself to a certain extent. ESPN can't pay him what he's actually worth, because then they will have to pay everyone else accordingly.

Yeah, if you like Simmons, this is actually a positive move. You'll get more Simmons, being more Simmons-y. The first time he goes on the Dan Patrick show after his contract expires is gonna be saltier than the entire state of Utah.

I'm sure Lebatard is going to want him on the radio show. I'll be interested if he pops up there today or Monday.

It is kind of curious that ESPN came out so early and called off the talks. You could either read that as a negotiating ploy to put pressure on Simmons or read it that he already had an offer in place with somewhere else and the price is astronomical.

Simmons' fanboyism is a part of his charm, I think.  He'll happily try to steer any discussion towards the Celtics and the entertainment is seeing his guests or other writers try to get him off that line of thinking  :lol

I just think he's the sort of dude I'd like talking sports with.  Not to mention he's responsible for the best things ESPN has done in years: Grantland and 30 for 30.  The dude knows good content, regardless of his biases.

Whitlock is the worst though

Cavs offense still incredibly predictable. Blatt needs to actually start an offense here.

It's all Lebron iso. Nobody else is moving unless they get a pass to shoot. Zero actual execution of plays.

Completely ugly game but it was very intense. Good win for the Bulls. Cavs have a lot of issues to sort out on offense. It just can't be the Lebron show on offense. It has to be something more complex and smarter than that.

They keep it up they are going to be saying that to each other in the off-season. They are not looking great so far in this series. Bulls also lost a 20 point scorer themselves for most of this game so its not like they were at full strength either.

Couple of big games today.

Speaking towards the Cavs I just think the offense has become too Lebron-centric. Not because he is being selfish or an awful person. And not because he isn't trying because he's trying very hard. He's nearly averaging a triple double despite the weak shooting (especially outside).

I just think the team has decided this is the best way to win and I think solely as a plan it isn't. It's so predictable. And its making other players not move and become spectators. You can do that sometimes but in general there has to be more ball movement and not Lebron hold the ball for 20 seconds on offense and then deciding to shoot or pass to someone to shoot at the last second. It's a game plan issue. There has to be a better plan of execution on offense.

I don't know what else they can do. You can't rely on James Jones and Delladova to win you games.

Well its probably too late to install the fundamentals that should have been evolving over the course of a season, but the current plan isn't working either.
