Lebron can't beat the Warriors 5 on 1. Kyrie is pretty much done. Luck isn't with us this year. Stupid Cleveland curse.

Can't believe you're giving up already. JR Smith hasn't even elbowed anyone and Delladova hasn't broken anyone's ankle yet. There's still time to create new injuries.

It won't matter. Think about how deep the Warriors are. They are NOT playing David Lee because they have better options. That's just an abundance of depth.

It will be Year 2 for Blatt. Let's see that offense he was supposed to excel at, otherwise it might as well be any other random nba coach. It can't be just enough to get through the east because this is the 2nd year in a row it's not going to work. You have to match up with what the best of the western conference teams are doing. They need a style change
yeah, this made me rethink potential matchups the Cavs would be facing coming out of the West these next few years, Memphis/OKC/Clippers/GS, and I just can't think of any scenario where I'd confidently choose Cleveland -as the roster stands right now- in a best of 7. depending on how these playoffs affect Kyrie in the long term, I'm not even certain they won't breeze through the East; what with an ostensibly healthy Paul George in Indiana and a loaded Chicago team that had a very real chance of ousting them in the second round just weeks ago

Fractured kneecap for Kyrie.  Feels like there have been a ton of injuries to key players this year, both regular season and playoffs.

Ultimately I'm happy for the Cavs, and I think that anyone that gives Lebron shit for losing a finals again is foolish.  He's played out of his mind on an injury ridden team.  We'll see what happens next season with their roster.  They have to, HAVE to, strengthen their bench.  Get rid of Miller, Marion, Perk, Haywood, and Andy V.  Maybe get Ray Allen, Mo Williams, Koufus, Robin Lopez?

It is what it is. Playoff basketball tends to freeze those whistles some times. We'll see how it goes in Cleveland with a partisan pro Cleveland crowd and see if they get more calls there.

Looking at the box score Steph was 2 of 15 from 3 point range. Was he just incredibly cold or taking bad shots or did the Cavs do anything interesting with him on defense?

Man while the Cavs have to feel good about gutting out the win...at the same time GS shot horribly, Curry had one of his worst games of the season, LeBron had a huge game...and they still BARELY won. That has to give them pause, to put it lightly.

I don't look it that way purely although I see how you can. I see two games where the Warriors should really be kind of blitzing away and out-gunning the Cavs especially on their home court but for whatever reasons they haven't.

I mean its highly unlikely that steph will shoot that bad again but looking at the box score the Cavs shot 32.6% and won. I mean I don't quite get how that happens from a box score perspective and the game is even close. But I didn't see 85% of the game.

nah they take it anyway they can. just gotta find 3 more of em. current proceedings should encourage them.

if the warriors play even decently they lose tho.

Dellagoona played tight, good defense. Fought through screens and switches all night.

You're right that there are other ways to look at it. Hell you could argue the Cavs were a couple bounces away from being up 2-0. But damn they almost gave this one away multiple times, despite GS being cold.

That's kinda crazy. I was upset with Shump because I felt like he wasn't fighting through screens very well in game 1 and was constantly switching thompson onto Curry. I thought Curry would have a field day with Delladova but one game and all that.

The games have been tight, you can play the "if only" game to make it any scenario you want, really.

I still favor the Warriors though. They have a better coach and Lebron has to gas at some point. GS will have that game where they shoot 50% with 9 threes. Law of averages and all that.

I just want Cleveland to win because it's a better story. It will be strange if GS wins and Steph Curry plays like crap.

The NBA Finals Game 2 got a 12.9/22 in metered market results – that’s up 26% from when LeBron and the Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the 2014 NBA Finals. It is also the best a NBA Game 2 has done since 1998 in MM results and, hence, the best a Game 2 has ever done on ABC since they started showing the series back in 2003. The previous Game 2 high on ABC was the 12.3 that the L.A. Lakers and the Detroit Pistons snagged back in 2004.

There are often moments in playoff games where the star doesn't get the call everyone expects him to get...but seeing multiple against LeBron like that was weird.

BTW him losing the ball dribbling was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen from a star player...

I was at a regular season Bulls/Warriors game way back in the day where a pissed off Michael Jordan kept hitting Pippen in the back with passes for like 2 plays in a row. It was pretty funny.

This Finals run, to me, is more about LeBron’s singular talent than Love, Irving, offensive rebounding, or anything else. No other player in the league could drag this team where LeBron has dragged it. There may be only three or four guys in NBA history who could have done it.

Slot Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, James Harden, or Blake Griffin into LeBron’s place: Are the Cavs even getting by Chicago in the second round?
