The Eastern Conference is weird.  The hornets currently have the 2nd best record in the east.

East is wayyy better this year.  A ton of competition for first.  Clevelands path isn't a sure thing anymore.

Fuck, the Heat are playing great.  Celtics look ok too

No lies detected by Barkley. Which is ironic because Carmelo is going to retire with as many titles as he did.

I didn't hear the telecast to hear the context of what Barkley said but I have a feeling I wouldn't have agreed. Which is not to say that Carmelo is some perfect person or that he doesn't sometimes shoot too much. He can be the best leader in the world but that isn't going to change the reality of what the knicks are and the talent they have. Carmelo is a great offensive player but not a good defensive one. There have a been a lot of great NBA players who fell into that mold. It is what it is.

The thing to question is if winning a title was the A1 most important thing in the world to him he would have left New York to go to Chicago. He ain't winning a title on the knicks. It's too late at this stage in his career and with the talent the knicks have. Even then I don't really blame him. Money is just as important if not way more in leading a happy life as titles.

You play to win or you play to build a business. He did the later. I ain't mad at him but he isn't Lebron/Duncan/Kobe tier and he never will be.

I'll never hate on a dude who is stacking racks like that dude is.

He has/had all the talent in the world. One of the better inside/out scorers of the last 10 years for sure.

That's what stinks about the NBA. You're just going to have 6 or 7 "schedule losses" through the year and there is nothing you can do about it.

What do Carmelo's business ventures have to do with his on court play? He's still the shoot first guy who doesn't make his teammates better.

He's at best a 3rd option on a team worth a shit. Not sure what he thinks he's going to accomplish here?

To expand I think he's finally hit the maturity level where his legacy matters more than skittles and making babies and it's probably too little, too late.

One rumor has him wanting to go to Miami, and the Rockets wanting Whiteside, Winslow and picks. Also read that he's come to strongly dislike James Harden. (And is missing his buddy Parsons.)

It's kinda amazing how fast Dwight ruined his image. From "Superman!" and a great performance taking his team to the Finals that had people discussing his place in the pantheon of all-time centers to what...three Dwightmares in five years now?

It was a fun game to watch. The swing play ended being that play where Lebron got to pass the ball to himself and still scored.

I know the Cavs were injured, but that crunch time lineup they had out there was putrid.

The Suns gutted their coaching staff except Hornacek. (Lame duck contract.)
Quote
Sources told ESPN.com on Sunday night that the Suns are promoting longtime NBA guard Earl Watson and former NBA D-League head coach Nate Bjorkgren to the bench to work closer to Hornacek and will dismiss veteran assistants Mike Longabardi, who was heading up Phoenix's defense, and Jerry Sichting.
And Bledsoe injured his knee again in that Sixers loss.
