they're definitely the chief beneficiary of the realignment in the western conference this season. even with Gayward out the first 6 weeks I think they get 50 wins

The Heat had to work out some kinks during the first few games of the Big Three era, same will be true for GS. Didn't expect a blowout like that tho.

Averaging a triple double is definitely something I figured we'd never see again, I thought Jordan/LeBron's like 30/8/8 level was maxing out this era. But Russell might do it. He's right in his prime. He did 24/8/10 last year. And the year before was at 31/9/10 after Durant went down for the year. He had a usage rate of 38% that year.

I imagine OKC's scorer is pretty favorable too. He's averaged like 1.5 more assists per game at home the last two seasons. :teehee

Westbrook statistically will put up an insane year. He has no one telling him not to shoot anymore. He has no one on the team who is remotely as gifted offensively as he is anymore. It all will lead to him having an insane usage rate and putting up an ungodly number of shots.

yup, the only potential problem is usage/fatigue, but I think that will be weighed against the constant dick-sucking in hopes that he'll stay in OKC forever so they won't risk annoying him by limiting minutes

btw a couple days late but lol @ dwight howard's shit game against 76ers

Center Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz on Monday agreed on a four-year contract extension worth $102 million, according to league sources.
Quote
The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a four-year extension worth $56 million with Cody Zeller, according to sources and multiple reports.
Quote
The Oklahoma City Thunder have locked up their young core by signing guard Victor Oladipo and center Steven Adams to extensions before Monday's midnight deadline.

Terms for the contracts were not announced by the Thunder, but sources told ESPN's Jeff Goodman that Oladipo received a four-year extension worth $84 million, and sources told ESPN's Royce Young that Adams' deal is for four years and $100 million.

I got to hang with Adams a little over a year ago. I saw him in Wellington NZ shooting hoops off a busy street outside a bar his friend owns. I fanned out and he was more than happy to hang and chat as no-one around recognised him (we only care about rugby here). That would never happen now he gets paid more than every rugby union player combined :lol

My team sucks this year.

Whiteside is playing like a stat stuffer.

Dragic is an average point guard.

Tyler Johnson got way overpaid.

Winslow can't play offense.

No Bosh.

TJ has potential

Winslow got thrown into the fire way to quick and now he has to develop faster than a player with age/experience should

I think Spo is a good coach. I bet that team is playing better by the end of the season. It's not like the East is loaded with great teams.

In the pre-season and the first couple of season games I saw them adopt a ball movement 3-point happy approach that I haven't seen the heat employ with Spoelstra before. But it looks like they reverted back to a slower-paced iso-ball approach again..

He destroyed the Cavs last night and has been having a stellar season so far.

Pacers were at the back end of a back to back. Absolutely no rim protection, they had to have given klay at least 10 point blank looks at the basket

Interesting part of the tentative CBA agreement:
Quote
According to Stein's report, the minimum salary and cap exceptions will now be tied to the cap, as maximum salaries have long been. That's important in cases like the sudden, unexpected growth we saw in the cap when the league's new TV deals kicked in.

I only half watched the game, but it seemed like a bunch of weird calls and non-calls at the end.
