Has anyone pinpointed why discussion of trans issues is so high relative to the general population? It’s a recurring discussion on RE while I’m sure like 99% of people have never even met a trans person.

I recently came out as trans. Mg girlfriend came out as gay. She still doesn't want to be with me despite saying she'll "see me as a woman", she wants someone with a vagina. I know it's just me personally. But it's hard to celebrate this week despite how much I want to right now . I want my girlfriend back.

Personally, the idea that someone who was not supposed to have access to our private conversations had access makes me uncomfortable, and that has nothing to do with fear of being "outed" as a secret bigot. It's an invasion of a privacy we're entitled to, its us in our private moments, and us being mods does not give you the right to violate that. To think otherwise is, frankly, not something that sits right with me or anyone else on the staff.
