Andy have you figured out an easy way to see what fossils you’re missing?

Go to the nook shopping catalog menu and choose the wallpaper and other option. Should show all the fossils you had in your inventory. I don’t think it indicates whether you donated or not, but I’m assuming you donate everything new immediately so it shouldn’t be an issue.

🌳 Ohana Isle tree audit results:

- 42x Cedar trees 🌲
- 10x Bamboo sprouts 🎍
- 20x Coconut trees 🥥
- 10x Apple trees (native) 🍎
- 6x Cherry trees 🍒
- 10x Orange trees 🍊
- 10x Peach trees 🍑
- 10x Pear trees 🍐
- 0x Hardwood trees 🌳

Total trees: 118 trees grown or in development

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I found out the max capacity is 220, so I will be attempting 24 of each non-coconut fruit tree + 20 coconuts. Will leave me at 216 trees on my island, AKA four slots to spare. :P

Lol even if I were to totally implement my fruit tree plan AND everything were to turn over at the same time, I'd make less on a haul of fruit than half of what I came up with grinding in the last 1.5 days for turnips. :lol Yeah fruit kinda ain't shit.

Still I love the idea of a balanced a fruitful island. :uguu And passive income is never a bad thing. :yeshrug

Where can I get Bamboo and Coconuts?

A friend lent me a stalk of bamboo, but I'm not sure how to obtain any myself.

Mystery Tours will sometimes have exotic fruit like coconuts and, err, bamboo. :P And others.

5-6 days until my island is accessible without vaulting or ladders, then a few more for all the short cuts and replacing the old wooden bridge lol

Guys I got a little too high and I just gotta say, I love this moment. Animal Crossing has always meant a lot to me (maybe I'll tell the story some day) and seeing a game in the series come out and meet all my expectations, and see so many of my friends play it, means so much.  :tocry

And I know this moment won't last, that I'll be looking back at this time a year down the line, or six years, and remembering all these online adventures and struggles to build the best islands possible, and how I met up with over a dozen different AC players in more than 50+ online sessions, and we played the fuck out of the game and helped each other and played together.

Again, I'm too high, but I dread the time a year from now when I'm playing every day, or couple days, checking in, and never seeing anyone on my friends list online... the fact everyone is online all the time right now is fucking great. I know it's partly Coronoavirus, but it's mostly launch-nearness. I just hope people will let me hop over to their islands in 6 months or a year, or in five years. As the ACNL thread shows I'm fine playing solo and making progress on my own, playing for 3-4 month stretches every year, year after year, but man, it means so much more when there's at least someone out there playing too.

Anyways, already ranted too much, back to your regularly scheduled New Horizons love fest. :P

I get that one all the time. Last night I got the trash island where everything I fished out was a tin can, boot or tire. Made a nice change from my own island where I can only catch a different type of trash (sea bass)

my stonks are at 59 bells too. Not great, Bob

I restarted.

I'm enjoying it more now that my expectations have been curbed. To make matter even better, my villagers kick ass. I'm actually have fun. I ended up time traveling. I still find the beginning tedious and overbearing with the amount of grinding needed when I just want to chill, but it was more bearable for me by just time traveling rather than waiting. I'm typically not a time travel animal crossing player. In fact, I openly resent it for the most part because I like playing with the clock. But I've learned that in order for me to enjoy the beginning of New Horizons I need more flexibility.

After starting a new character and game I've managed to have the TT shop built and gave Blathers what he needed to make a museum within two hours. Turned into bed and now I'm hitting the sack in real life. I'll stop time traveling once I've built the town hall again.

I'm feeling much better about the game after spoiling myself. Rather than having expectations and not having them met or just expecting it to be more New Leaf, it's easier to swallow now.

Also my villagers in my first town were that bad. If Billy and Plucky are in your towns kick them out. They're trash. I got Rocket and Mac and they're both amazing and personable. Turns out actually liking the villagers makes the island a lot less lonely and I can actually roleplay.  After bad experiences with my first town ( bad traversal, odd fish spawn rate) I'm not having any of those issues this time. Could my island possibly have bugged out the first time? I wish I could have sold my catalog and kept my stuff though. 😭

Sorry for making the thread miserable for y'all. My aspie-ness is getting the worst of me.

edit:

If anyone has any of these items please tell me:

- parka (yellow)
- white sneakers (forgot the name)
- denim jeans (blue)
- some glasses
- typewriter
- mountain bike
- homework set
- office chair

I'll truly be in your debt.

Spent hours last night fishing for a string fish and came up empty. Never thought an Animal Crossing game would make me rage quit. I just want to chill on my island, not make a tedious loop gathering Manila clams, crafting bait, tediously pole vaulting rivers and climbing cliffs, then grinding fish.
