Every interview I've ever seen of them seems like that one scene in Weird Science where they create larger boobs because tits rock!

And you know there is nothing really wrong with that except I'd prefer they sort of just embraced that rather than pretend they are going for art as they seem to waver between. My real problem with the game is that it seems less interesting to me than either Bayonetta or GOW 3.

But I've said my piece on the game. I'll wait to see how it actually turns out.

Epic Mickey is, considering the appearances of game-vs-source-material ratio, more edgy than Dante's Inferno.

Also, the level of plasticity, blurry grime, etc. are not particularly effective. I know it's a game with different limitations than Dead Space, but in terms of nailing the aesthetic, Dante's doesn't hit the same high mark of that game.

I only saw the developer diaries up until now and was mildly interested.

The gameplay looks OK I guess but it looks pretty meh in terms of graphics. I'm no expert but there doesn't seem to be much going on lighting-wise.

Played the demo. Ugh. It's a blatant GoW clone. Shit, you even ride the giant monster and stomp enemies like the GoW3 demo.

This is one of the least ambitious game I've played in a while. It's more like God of War than I thought from the videos. Only notable difference is that you have a ranged weapon with the cross that acts like the ranged weapons in DMC. It not bad or anything (assuming you enjoy God of War). It does seem a lot less polished than those games. Like, it uses a fixed camera because it also has evade on the right stick, but it's still kinda bad as opposed to GoW games, where it does a good job of showing you the action. I might pick it up really cheap in the future.

Death was definitely the highlight, after you beat him it turns into GoW in hell. The game is faster than GoW though, it takes SO MUCH from it though, I don't like having to mash O to get health IT'S distinguished mentally-challenged. I hated that in GoW and I hate it here, it has such a good concept it's a shame that they couldn't come up with their own combat system or swipe from an actual above decent one. I would've LOVED a Ninja Gaiden in hell clone. Such potential.

Edit: The real worst part is that they didn't do anything different with the combat system, there is nothing wrong with using another combat system but atleast make it your own. Do something special, evolve it, they did none of that. All the good and all the shit is still there.

Just played the demo. Looks like a PS2 game but plays solid for a GoW clone. You can instantly block or evade from any frame, you have a decent amount of moves to upgrade to, and the action's pretty solid.
It almost seems like you are too powerful though. With instant evade/block, super mode, projectile attacks, really long reach weapon, it seems kinda easy.

I like action games, and there aren't enough of them, so I'll pick it up and give it a playthrough.

The only thing I don't like is having to grab a person and watch an animation to do a xp kill. Wish it was just automatic based somehow on your playing style.

Seems to be an interesting mix of opinions.

I'll be curious to try the demo when it comes to the 360.

On one hand it looks like a complete God of War clone which is a bit annoying.

On the other hand, I don't have a PS3 so if it's a good game in general I'm fine with that. The problem is Bayonetta set the bar so high, it will really take something to grab my interest.

Plays like a fairly solid God of War clone like I expected. Didn't blow me away like Bayonetta but it also probably doesn't disappoint if your expectations were realistic.

Not a huge fan of the genre but I'll probably Gamefly this one down the road.

You even played the GOW3 demo? Dante's Inferno looks and plays like a poor man's GOW. The game is trying too hard to mimic GOW's epic set pieces. The crashing boat in the beginning and the fire really looked bad.

GOW3 is the real deal. The last segment in the GOW3 demo is probably better than the whole Dante Inferno game.
