Haha, thanks, yay!   :(

I trimmed about 30 minutes off this episode, a segment which started off as a review of the DSi XL and splintered off into several rants.  That will be included in next week's show.

that was a really, really good Borecast.  I'm not sure if it was the candid nature of the topic you chose but y'all were more uninhibited than usual and it made for a particularly entertaining 'cast.  I also like episodes that aren't so game heavy (simply because I'm not much of a gamer), so the cameo from Dougs wife and the noir film reviews were very welcome.

My only nitpick is if you're going to edit out a segment you should edit it out of the agenda you read out at the start of the podcast as well.

I'm assuming you guys didn't like the XL. I sorta do, but only because I hate tiny screens.

I found Frag's confessions to be the most surprising.  SMH, Frag.  You've forever tarnished your rep of being the quintessential gentleman with impeccable taste in everything.

JK  You're still da man.  :heart
[close]

Doug's confessions were the most timid.  His story of being beat down by a marine during a water fight gone bad is far more enthralling than anything he talked about on the podcast.

Finally, Eel, you've got balls, and really horny ones!  That's a long way for a fifteen year to go just to score some poontang.

harem anime is the term we used I think.

what's weird about my confessions is that the dirtiest one is probably corndogs (which I don't eat but crave from time to time despite being a clean eater with the knowledge of how to prepare far more tasty/satisfying food.

I was more surprised from a taste standpoint since you're such a foodie.  The taste of a corndog just seems too crude for your refined palate.

honestly my wife-with the cosmopolitan Brussels upbringing-is the one with the refined palate. I'm a lifelong southerner, and, as such, have an almost instinctual craving for fried things.  Since I cook for both of us, though, it's pretty easy just to make good food so we're both happy. :)

game's really good. the Ubi DRM coupled with the terrible server availability (meaning you can't play the game) sucks, and it needs more maps / an editor, but the game itself is a real gem.

I'm not buying it until the drm is gone tho' :-\

My network isn't stable enough for that kind of shit, but even if it was I'd stay the fuck away from something that punishes me just for the fuck of it, like some pill poppin' dominatrix.

Yeah, I'm thinking about buying one for my pokemans playing. The screen is actually a decent size. That's the massive selling point for me.

Red Faction Guerrilla is probably closer to what you guys are looking for in a sandbox game than even Just Cause 2, although it's still got those pesky story missions.

I'm a corn dog fan as well.  I blame nostalgia.  Food nostalgia is too powerful to overcome sometimes.

I prefer the traditional hot dog or a chilli-dog over a corndog.  It's probably due to the fact that my junior-high fed us corndogs every other day.

I used to eat frozen hotdogs when I was younger. I was too lazy to even nuke them in the microwave.   One time I stopped over at a coworkers place drunk and hungry.  The only thing in their fridge were these rock hard pizzas and I devoured them entirely.  I was informed they were at least a month old.

Most of these confessions were rather tame, although I am sincerely flabergasted at the kingdom hearts payload.  I've dabbled in these games more than I care to admit because I am too trying to scratch a nostalgic itch.  Therefore I can say they are terrible heaps of unfun.

Anime is fun when you're not obsessed with it.  Although no matter how much I would like to dabble in shonen and such, the usual tropes rear their familiar heads and I get a little irked.  Everyone thinks Ms 8th team is the best gundam series right?

Good episode.  The confessions weren't that surprising except for Eel running away at 15.  You seem to have lived a pretty interesting life from your stories and posts.

I'm kind of tired of hearing the word "noir" though.

where do you submit name suggestions?

also, listened to this episode today and agree with the older actors and younger actresses thing.  I don't know if any of you watched the movie Yes Man with Jim Carrey, but they have him in a relationship with Zooey Deschanel who looks like she could be his daughter.  I'm not saying there is an age limit with relationships or anything but that one case was just really weird.
