Its sort of interesting their views on YT not being like TV, when quite a few of the larger YT channels that get pushed hard by the algorithm are now like the really old TV shows from the 40s and 50s where there isn't an actual 'ad break' for advertisers to show stuff off, but instead the actual show creators do a little hard sell shilling of their waterproof trainers / knock off airbuds / japanese sweets lootcrate / whatever in the middle of the show and then get back to their show after their little endorsement
