I see a completely different set of lighting, a different traffic pattern, as well as much more aggressive DOF and Motion Blur. Not seeing a downgrade (there isn't one)

A large majority of the thread isn't even debating whether or not "downgrading" is necessary or not for optimizing games for shitty consoles, they're outright saying that they "don't exist".

I mean, I know we like to exaggerate here, but I'd say a good 90%+ of posts are dismissing the idea that some of the more obvious points even exist.

Even when looking at the difference between two exact points in cutscenes.

Like, how? I thought we all knew that this song and dance happens with every single major game between E3 and release.

The largest object in the shot, the building on the right, has way less complex geometry necessitating a completely different texture set and even the trees in between the two entrances have been removed. I noticed that the building on the left was moved closer, so less of it is being drawn in frame too.

But why would anyone believe "target" renders/"vertical slices" from early in cycle as legit at this point five years into a generation? Especially anyone on an "enthusiast gaming" forum?
