I was/am on team paedo, but some article I read about this documentary mentioning how after the court case these two denied every being assaulted by MJ and then trying to suck up to him and get some business going involving him or his estate, only to come out again against him after being rejected makes me unsure about these two in particular. It's one of those cases that have been so thoroughly combed through over and over again in honest and dishonest ways & every bit of evidence destructured and rebuilt that you need a semi-encyclopedic knowledge of the investigation to even opine meaningfully on it.
As such I don't really have an opinion on the specific claims of his accusers and whether he went as far as molestation or rape.
In general though... Creepy vibe all around. Having kids come for sleepover while showering them or their parents with gifts is already a red flag the size of those in Soviet May Day parades. The Peter Pan narrative sounds a bit fantastical and like special pleading especially in a day and age where people are very sensitive on the issue (to the point of bordering paranoia) but he was such a bizarre character...

I also think the parents of those kids took advantage of Michael and that situation. Because everyone took advantage of Michael.
So I don't buy into the story that he showered their families with gifts in exchange for rape time.
Overall Michael was a mental trainwreck and on drugs most of the time so I'm not sure if he was lucid enough to molest those kids.

It's easy to think he molested kids because of how weird he was....and it's also equally easy to think that because he was so weird, he acted like a kid himself and didn't do anything sexual. Could see it being either way and hope it's not the latter.
Look at those Kevin Smith Prince stories- some of these mega-rich celebs live in a completely different world.

My impression is that it's "he said - they said" with the two accusers having an history of peddling back and forth those claims inconsistently and suspicion that they or their families were mostly trying to grift some money out of his fabulous wealth (not mutually exclusive with molesting having taken place but you know...). The criminal investigation proved somewhat inconclusive, at least enough that the matter is left hanging, as Nintex said no "smoking gun" that you'd think you'd find once proper public attention is applied if the abuses were routine. I don't remember if Jackson paid some sort of settlement money (informally or in a civil case).
He was really, really weird about that shit though. It's not too surprising those allegations have stayed so pervasive despite never being proven.

You still get documentaries (of diverse quality or pertinence) about ancient aliens, the murder of JFK or on recent controversial crime stories.
It's an obviously popular premise that would most probably garner audience attention.
It's never been proven to be an hoax either and sadly massive pedophilia cases having been covered up / fucking up the victims to the point of only airing accusations much later or not being the most mentally stable is not that uncommon.

...and like that I realized that while the general outline I gave is not too far off, I conflated the original accuser (J.Chandler) story with the two men claiming to have been victims in that documentary. I thought Chandler was among them.
I can however, by correcting myself, maybe give a better response to Cindy : I don't think the Netflix doc had an exclusive on its two witnesses but their claims are relatively fresh and recent. It's not just retreading the Chandler case.
I would also suppose having now three potential distinct testimonies is stronger than just one.

I'm inclined to think the claims have truth to them. I cautiously expect more witnesses to come forward as years go by. With my limited understanding of the case it seems we're nearing the point of the accusations being too numerous to be deflected.

Isn't it a little suspicious, that so many artists, like Michael, who, in their music, speak out against economic injustice, or sing about international brotherhood. world peace, etc., die under suspicious circumstances? Any one believing he died of a drug overdose is not doing their homework.

The michael jackson situation wasn't that complicated when it went to court the second time when i was younger. The media and seemingly the world at large accepted that he was a weird fucking creep that did creepy shit with kids.
What changed all that was his being found innocent of that crime twice and then his following death. Shit, up until he died people were still doing south park jokes about him. It's a great narrative that society was just oh so cruel, and that we harmed a man, possibly to death, because we judged him by his eccentricity and appearance. People wanted to redeem him for what they perceived to be their assumptions. Some real life Quasimodo shit. Hell, up until recent years, thats what I believed, and I've never listened to his shit except for like, thriller.
But now that I'm a little older I can see a lot of this for what it is: the two accusations that went to court were bullshit. Their stories were wack, the parents were crazy, and the kids didn't provide anything that would hold up in the same way these victims in the documentary did. MJ was able to clear his name twice because he took the bullshit claims public and kept the real ones quiet. All the smoke was just that, kidnapping is creepy, sleeping in beds is creepy, and whether or not he saw it that way it he was conditioning them.
Also, I don't think he buttfucked those kids.

As discussed in the shit thread : Safechuck said the abuse lasted until 1992, but one of the specific buildings he said it happened in was only built in 1994. The director basically brushes it off with "well he is just mistaken on the dates it ended". It's true that inconsistencies are common in testimonies, more so when you recount events from a long time ago and especially with children and traumatic events... But still it is a pretty massive one.
It doesn't really impact my opinion and the big picture will stay that huge foggy and muddy gray uncertainty but it is notable enough to be mentioned.
