Saw Screaming Females tonight. Actually got into them because Eric P mentioned them at some point and then when I saw their record review last year I was like "oh yeah Eric P on TheBore was talking about them" so I checked them out and really dug them. The main lead singer/guitarist is like this 4 foot tall timid woman who belts out some of the best vocal range I've ever heard and on top of that she's a crazy talented guitarist, solo-ing hendrix-style all over the place live. Was a great show, but only like 45 minute set which I assume has to do with the vocals and not being able to do that for more than 45 mins a show.

Their album from last year Rose Mountain is nice and the first one I checked out, it's their most polished produced album but also their most mellow. I'm more into their previous album Ugly more since the guitar work is crazy awesome there.

Listening to New Order's early stuff. God I had forgotten how devastatingly good they were (seriously, Joy Division who?). They lost their way for a bit after Technique but their latest is close to their older stuff, though they're just not the same since Pete Rose left.

I don't really care for reggae at all but it undoubtedly influenced some of my favorite music. From Hip Tanaka to drum and bass to 2-step garage. This is one of my favorite 2-step songs though I can do without the vocal, have no idea wtf they're saying probably something about weed
