They mention it being a "new map" is that because it's without the snow, or it's a new area of Manhattan altogether? div 1 already had lower Manhattan though, so i doubt it.
The changes in the UI seem interesting too, though in my opinion they should just streamline the whole stats/perk stuff in general, every time you jump back into the game, you have to waste a bunch of time going through the numbers, when really the game isn't supposed to be a super deep RPG anyway.

Thanks, that clears it up.
So they did do a whole new map, but i guess the ability to reuse a lot of assets justifies this only being an expansion.

my big problem with the division is its a loot game where you upgrade to another color of beanie hat and not anything cool. also dc was not as good of a location as nyc in winter.

It was my most played game last year, by far, but FWIW, i didn't play much of the 1st one, because the loot balance in that was was worse, in my opinion.
I do play with people i know though, so i'm not sure how fun it'd be played solo or even just with strangers.
I mean i did some runs with strangers, but i couldn't see myself dumping 50 hours into it that way.

Personally i find the moving around/shooting just very satisfying, even compared to the first one, despite being so similar; plus i like the tacticool characters.

Current gen machines still have a base MSRP of 4-500 for their beefier versions, but $600 or higher for the new consoles feels like a suicidal move even if some argue things are different now than the PS3 days. Prices on current gen are either going to drop or there's going to be quite the sticker shock for the new stuff. I'm going to chill until at least the first hardware revision I think, first builds are always fucking broken somehow and I just got a Switch and 1X last year anyway.

So you can now play local multiplayer games online on Steam and only one person needs to own the game.

Had no problems of lag or whatsoever in Cuphead and Ikaruga.

My Uncle was one the directors of cinematography for Shanghai Knights, and all he got as a souvenir was a t-shirt with a Jackie Chan quote on the back; "Save money.. Do your own stunts".
