I'm so behind on Sunny. Fell off when I noticed seasons would always start super strong for 3-4 episodes then taper off.

I think its doing a lot better at 10 episodes a season.  Helped trim the fat.  They are also doing minor character developments that are very interesting (compared to what happens 10 years in in other sitcoms).

it lost its way for a bit, but last season was a re-righting of the ship and this year it's full steam ahead.
Seconding this, though I thought they started to re-find themselves a couple years earlier with Chardee MacDennis/Thundergun Express/High School Reunion and everything after that.

The years before do have some classics (Kitten Mittens/We're Lawyers!, D.E.N.N.I.S. System, the road trip to the Grand Canyon, etc.) though but cutting off two or three episodes a season has really cut off the chaff.

Yeah I said as much in the gaf thread and everyone kinda jumped at me over it. After the other death that came a few episodes it just feels...cheap. People using the "but it's pulp" excuse when it was still failrly clever pulp from jump and this just felt a little beneath it.

The saddest part for me was when

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Gannicus and Caesar finally get their full rematch and the Romans start closing in around them and he just gets cut down. Gannicus was the bestest character IMO.

I was secretly hoping the writers would just go completely off the rails Inglourious Basterds style and have Spartacus win in the end and sack Rome.

I think the events thus far show how deep a BB prequel can go.  There's a lot there with the cartels and interesting side-stories the whole way leading up to Walt.  And having Saul be the main character is the best because he's got a bird's eye view of everything.

Wait, is that picture ironic, because Joaquin Phoenix is American, and Russell Crowe is Australian... I am actually confused.
