Jesus the Suicide Squad game...

"Gear Score" "Gear Sets" "Cosmetic Battle Pass"

 :wut

Confirmed to be the canonical folllow-up to the Arkham games, btw.  :killme

EDIT: Game is confirmed to be always online, even when playing solo.

PS+ seems like it's starting to actually give a shit and compete with Game Pass.

We just got The Quarry, Forgotten City (GP had that way back), Scarlet Nexus (same), all the Tokyo RPG Factory games (suck), and the PS1 stuff with Wild Arms 2, Legend of Dragoon, Harvest Moon.

Next month getting Ghostwire Tokyo, that Tchia game day 1, Immortals Fenyx Rising (think that was on GP).

Not saying it's up there with GP yet, but definitely a decent start vs what the service was until now. Actually will play some of this stuff and get my money's worth since a few of those have been sitting in my steam wishlist.

Thirty minutes sorting inventory and building a base in nms was enough to give me a splitting frontal headache and make me feel like I was about to barf.

OK japan finally reached the point where you can just walk into a fucking store and BUY a PS5 in cash instead of jumping through hoops signing up for credit cards or winning lotteries, so I got one. Only took them over two years, good job idiots

For Sony's diligence in finally supplying their home market (lol) I rewarded them by running out and buying a bunch of cheap secondhand PS5 games. Already finished Ratchet and Clank, rippin through Judgment now (it was the equivalent of $9 lol)

Both my launch Dualsenses are fucked in opposite ways at this point. One has a broken R2 spring with a slightly drifting right stick, while the other has a broken L2 spring with a slightly drifting left stick :existential

I’ve never had a faulty PS controller since the PS1 days. This is fucking insane.

The drift can be cured for a bit with the same WD-40 or whatever shit I use on my Joycons, but based on videos I need to perform fucking open heart surgery to replace the trigger springs, and I know for a fact that I’d fuck it up and brick the controllers :lol

I hate everything :goty

I've had multiple official controllers die for PS3 and PS4. They're just made poorly. I have never had a problem like this with any other console outside of drift issues with my switch controllers (which Nintendo fixed for free anyway). Sony's customer service response was consistently awful too.

Throughout all my gaming, besides the worst controllers on the planet; N64 controllers, I've only had one drift issue with a new DS4.  Sony sent me a prepaid box for shipping and had it back to me in less than 10 days free of charge and works great.   :idont
Not sure what people do with their controllers.  I have a feeling more people drop them than they'd like to admit.. or stick them where they're not designed to be.

I've had at least one console from every generation since the Atari 2600 and the only brand that's given me dead controller problems is PlayStation.

I am pretty careful with them and my kids weren't old enough to play the PS3 so rule them out of the equation there.

Hell, all of my portables (from my original Gameboy onwards) still work except for the PSP which died because the shitty battery pack swelled and almost exploded.

The common denominator here is Sony. Even my old Mega Drive shit still works.

That's understandable.  Sounds like my experience with xbox360.  RROD, sent it to get repaired via MS only to crap out again two weeks later, MS is a trash company to me ever since.
Other than that, I know others that had issues with their PS1's and having to play them upside down.  :lol It was baffling.  And there's the infamous joycon drift BS.  I guess I've been lucky with mine.  3 years and no issue, besides them being designed by a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow.

:ufup This looks hella better and more interesting than FFXV by a country mile.  No question.

I thought the Summon battles would just be flashy QTE's, but they're much more than that.  Oddly enough, getting Nier:A vibes from those battles; them drip feeding us various gameplay elements like shooters and fighters into the mix.  Looks pretty damn fun... Like actually playing the absurdity of Advent Children fights.

And for the babies that want menu driven combat, they offered a casual/easy mode where the moves get carried out for you while you just input commands.  FFVIIR did the same thing, but no one in their right mind played it like that, because why would you?  :ryker

Calling it now though... the dog is totally gonna die.  :doge

But doesn't SE already have plenty of those?  Octopath Traveler 2 just came out and plays like that, no?

Listen I want a grand adventure, I dont want no 16 bit looking sheit.

Thats why DQ11 was so good. Great turn based combat with an interesting open world and story.

Persona 5 also proved that turn based RPG's can not only sell well but play incredibly well also.

Square Enix pretty much covers all bases now but with different types of games.

- Old school Final Fantasy and spin-offs (Team Asano: Bravely Default, Triangle Strategy and other HD-2D games like Octopath)
- New classic turn-based JRPG's (Dragon Quest)
- MMORPGs (FFXIV)
- Modern action RPG's (new Final Fantasy's)
- Old school action RPG's (Kingdom Hearts)

As time progresses I'm pretty sure we'll get Team Asano 'Final Fantasy X' in the near future too.
