They are all equally bad in the minds of some of these people. Taking Milo as an example. When someone made a comment like, "I defended Milo up to this point" there would always be a response from someone like, "it took you until then?". I kind of think, well, what specfically had he said or done up until that point that was crossing the line enough for you to call to ban him? I can't really think of any. Not that banning people from speaking is something I agree with anyway, just that I can understand why people might take issue with a specific thing he said. It seems to me what is really meant by, "it took you until then?" is, he criticised and made fun of everything I subscribe to, i.e. Feminism and Social Justice.

Basically this is just a long winded way of saying they think anyone who criticises or makes fun of what they believe in is equally as bad. lol

I do give them credit for telling Besada and LUCASFILM!!!!! to take a chill pill about posters on here but they have assembled the greatest hits of Gaf's most combative, thin skinned posters from the usual suspects like Slayven and Lime to Shinobi who rage quit Gaf because people were saying Mass Effect Andromeda was a dumpster fire at launch. ResetEra was always going to inherit a lot of Gafs worse tendencies because the sites worst users were as much a problem as Besada and the Mod Squad.

I’m divided on it. I think it set an awkward tone for sure. Tasteless? Ehhh, kind of. Hammering her arm was extremely brutal. It wasn’t in slow motion but it was still slow and deliberate, everything else stopped and focused on it. Only about 7-10 seconds but it was grueling for sure. Still, for a zombie apocalypse/horror game it fits fine.

For me the lack of appeal is more about zombie/post apocalyptic settings in general. It’s so incredibly overdone and run into the ground over the past decade between movies, tv, books and games. I’m completely burned out, and “the real danger are the other survivors” is just as stale.

I've never caught wind of any bad rumors about Tarantino, from what I hear he treats everyone well, has a tendency to give people's careers a second chance. Sort of strives to do everything a bit orthogonal to the rest of the industry. There could be skeletons, and that would be devastating. People seem to really like working with. The most criticism comes from his films depictions and his general casual flippancy with regards to depicting the ugliness of humanity.

But hollywood is self-indulgent, so I can see how looking in he's sort of a big question mark for people.

In the first game they start out with some good intentions, but by the start of the second game everything is fucked up beyond repair. "The game isn't fun to play." I feel like that was kind of the point. Like a proto Spec Ops The Line without the game spelling it out for you.

I'll hope against hope that Last of Us 2 delivers another experience like that, but most likely not.

Colin is an ass, and his politics are barely libertarian or conservative. He's a Guiliani style Republican tempered by living in frisco for like a decade. He's probably the least imposing right winger you'll ever see in terms of hard core policy. I mean he supported fucking Kasich for God's sake. He is as moderate as you get. Even HE is too right wing for ResetERA. That's just plain absurd. About the only reason I liked having him around in the gaming press was because we needed at least ONE guy who was to the right of center in games journalism, and he at least knew more than about half of the SJ W yahoos out there. He still was one of those attacking his own fanbase, and he was one of the big names in the primordial stew that gave birth to gamergate (The Mass Effect 3 ending, and Moriarty's calling of gamers entitled.).

That being said, his history is fun, if a little simplistic. Or according to the reccetears 'high school book reports'.

Sure, and to that point, it seems like something that would go over better as a targeted preview to people already interested, not something bookending a press conference to an audience, a decent percentage of whom had probably not even played the first one.
