Nevermind, looks like Lions are probably gonna play Carolina. Arizona will be the 6th seed because of their worse conference record, unless I'm reading this wrong.

Johnny Manziel threw a party Friday night that was attended by multiple members of the Cleveland Browns, triggering a tumultuous weekend during which several players were punished by the team, according to multiple reports.

Receiver Josh Gordon, who was suspended Saturday for a violation of team rules, was one of the players in attendance, according to cleveland.com.

The Browns also fined Manziel on Saturday for being late for treatment on his injured hamstring, a source told ESPN.

I always thought this was a bullshit rule. Fumbling like that should result in the fumbling team at the 1 yard line. Not a touchback.

The Lions are on the brink of rebuilding. The defense is good and while we got gashed today I can't really blame it on them - what do you expect is going to happen when Rodgers constantly gets a short field due to bad special teams coverage. Special teams gave up one TD also, which was basically the difference.

But this team clearly isn't going to win anything of worth with Stafford at QB. Going into the game he had fewer TDs this season than Russell Wilson, who is playing in a run first offense with nobody of note to throw the ball to. We have spent years surrounding him with "weapons," brought in the "Saints offense" and multiple coaches aimed at helping him...and this is the result. Sure he has thrown fewer INTs but that's probably a result of this offensive scheme really putting a leash on him. It's a very vanilla, safe offense. He's not being paid elite money to be a fucking game manager. I'm tired of it.

Grats ahead of time Dallas fans. Romo will rip our secondary apart since you guys have a good o-line, meaning we won't get pressure.

I'm happy we made the playoffs but ultimately this is a team that will be blown up in a couple years, you can bet on that. The prospect of wasting another superstar player's prime is depressing as fuck to me. First Barry, now Megatron.

there were some pretty ugly throws by Stafford though

This freaks me the fuck out to say, but it's entirely possible that the Cowboys will win the NFC if Tony Romo doesn't Tony Romo.

The Hawks were an absolute mess when Dallas came to town early in the season. If they can come here in the playoffs and win with Seattle working so well together, then the Super Bowl is theirs.

Cowboys will win the NFC if Tony Romo doesn't Tony Romo.

That really comes down to whether the O-line holds up under playoff pressure. If the run game gets stuffed and it all fall on Romo's shoulders, like it has time and again in past seasons, he'll make a bad play at the worst possible time. Seen that play out too many times to think otherwise. But if the O-line holds up and Murray keeps grinding out yards on the ground, Romo should continue playing the way he has for all but two games this season.

Last week I would have told you I wasn't concerned about Murray at all, our defense would shut him down. After watching Lacy dice us all day for 100+ yards (first time in 12 games)...dunno. The optimist in me wants to say running in a cold game at home favored Lacy having a good game. Whereas Murray will be playing inside, weather won't be an issue.

Still the blueprint on how to beat us is pretty clear: slants in the middle, taking advantage of the LBs. We won't give up big 40-50 yard plays due to our safeties but you can march down the field all day with 8-15yd passes. Romo is accurate enough to pull that off.

Dallas' defense isn't that good but...dunno, I just can't expect much from this offense, especially on the road.

What happened to Stafford? I mean how can you have so many weapons and put in such a horrible season?

I'll go with two options here

1) He isn't working as hard...which is evident by his physical appearance and body motions on the field.

2) He has too many tells and by now the entire league knows them.

I Didn't think it looked intentional in the first place.  Rodgers reaction probably sold it with his little push.

I think the Lions have a good chance.  Definitely a trap game for the Cowboys.

Weirder things have happened.  Both the 2009 super bowl teams didn't get hot until the last week of the regular season.  The cardinals 2009 post season success was almost inexplicable.

If we had a competent offense we'd be very dangerous. I don't understand how a team with as many "weapons" as we have can't put it together. This offense is just trash, and the o-line is worse. I'm no expert but the biggest difference between 2013 and 2014 is that Stafford holds the ball more. Routes take longer to play out, which is a bad thing because the o-line can't stop pressure. Last year Stafford got the ball out very quick on slants, screens, etc all day.

I say...just let Stafford slang it. He's going to turn the ball over, but we actually have a good defense this year unlike previous years. I'd rather see Stafford throw for 300yds, 4 TDs and 2 INTs than this wack safe shit. It's not working. Yea we won 11 games, thanks to the defense.
