dat LeBron fourth quarter passion

OKC stopped Miami from getting the infinite layups and dunks they usually get, forcing them to make jumpers. If they keep that up, they can win this series.

After the 2 home games, Miami gets 3 straight home games. Most likely scenario statistically is that the team with HCA wins at home, then 1 on the road, then game 6 at home again.

There is of course no big reason why Miami shouldn't beat the Thunder on the road and win the whole thing. Just that a Thunder win in 4 or 5 games would be highly unlikely.

Not meaning to troll any genuine Sonics fans, who I respect and commiserate with, but holy shit, the Finals have brought a bunch of moaning bitches out from under a rock, haven't they. I'm hearing from people that NEVER talk basketball. Either:

1) they were so butt-hurt that they literally haven't followed the NBA since or
2) they basically don't give a shit and just want a bit of attention now 'cause the Thunder got to the Finals (without any significant help from the people of Oregon....)

Painting with a broad brush here, I know. Sock it to me.

C-Webb RT'ed me once so I think I win there! I really don't angle for RTs or follows though.

I'd like for more basketball people to follow me, 'cause then I'd feel better about tweeting about it all the time. But I guess i'd better man up and start pumping out 3,000 words of quality blog posts a day :'(
As it is, my twitter followers are fairly evenly divided between the Tokyo/games crowd, comics people and basketball people or just random.

I am trying to think of a sports guy I would actually tweet. Of course, I don't have a twitter, so this is all hypothetical. Maybe someone from Yahoo or that dude that does youtube breakdowns of plays. Being as that I don't know their names, this whole thought is probably than hypothetical.

edit: I would totally tweet CWebb. Consider me jelly.

@SebastianPruitti, you mean?

I should do a list, there are lots of great, funny, clever twitterers out there. I pretty much have twitter open the whole time I watch a game live now...adds greatly to the experience. Of course, you can follow hashtags like #nba or #thunder or whatever and see what the great unwashed are raving about as well.

I would think 80% of my tweets are NBA/Warriors related. If twitter had been around in 2007 I'd have lost my mind in real time.

I don't follow any players, most of them aren't that interesting and the weird stuff gets RT'd. I do follow all the bay area beat writers, plus some national ones like Chad Ford, Woj + Berger, and guys like Larry Coon (Salary Cap guru). Most of the ESPN guys are insufferable (sup Chris Palmer)

I've been pissed/bummed since Bennet bought the team in 2006, there was no way in hell he ever considered not moving them to OKC. I typically stay quiet about it, but the Thunder making the Finals riled me up.

And honestly, if they win the whole thing, it's fine. I just miss my team.

My thoughts on the first game.

Bosh played 34 minutes and pulled down 5 rebounds. He also needs to stop taking 3's. Just because he got lucky in one game doesn't make him a three point shooter.
The Heat got out rebounded and outhustled which is always a very bad sign
Thunder made adjustments at half. Miami didn't. Which happens alot. Restrain from coaching rant.
Miami looked tentative in the 4th. Westbrook and Durant looked totally in their element.

No current reason to see why the Thunder won't win.

Meh, Wade and LeBron are going to get hot. OKC did a great job of denying easy layups, but Miami will eventually get more aggressive and get more calls. I still say Miami wins tomorrow night, and then wins two home games.

Lebron had 30pts and 9 boards, it's not like he was just twiddling his thumbs. But how many times are Battier and Chalmers gonna go 6-9 and 5-7 on FGs?

And Westbrook and Durant will probably match them however hot they get which means the supporting cast is what matters and the Thunder supporting cast is better.

Yeah, plus Westbrook isn't injured, like Wade, and Harden is presumably going to score more than 5pts the rest of the way.

The Heat looked tired in the 2nd half. Since obviously that was a result of their hangover from 7 games of the killer Celtics D, I'm gonna go ahead and claim this as a 4th win in game 8 of the Celtics-Heat series :lol

Stern responded: "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

WOW

edit: I better add, before any doofass replies, I understand the point Stern was trying to go for, but when your league and yourself have had as much legitimacy and corruption questions/worries over the years as the NBA and Stern have, you don't get to use wife beating as a rhetorical question defense.

Since there's no way Stern can prove that everything's on the up and up, he just dismisses any questions about corruption as outrageous and if you believe it you must be some crazy nutter. It's worked pretty well so far.

Better now, with Perkins-Durant-Sefolosha-Harden-Westbrook but Perkins is still a liability. Collison was GREAT in game 1. He's perfect for this series 'cause of how he guards the pick and roll.
