Brooks got out coached by one of the most average coaches in the league. From the Perkins shit to leaving Harden on LeBron, then the nonexistent offense. What is this

They need to be knocking on Stan Van Gundy's door right now. May as well pitch Phil Jackson as well, you never know.

well its time to give the devil his due. I ragged on them all year. I ragged on the coach all year. I still believe a good deal of those criticisms were/are correct but Spolestra coached a good series considering who he is. And Lebron played out of this world for the entire playoffs. I'm really glad Lebron gets his title to shut up the morons who think they know basketball and have shit to say about him.

I'm happy tonight which is rare for me.  :P

I'm watching this right now in Hard Rock Miami.  Crowd is surprisingly quieter than booing Laker fanboys in LA.  I almost wish I was back home to hear the likes of Green Shinobi cry.

It's the first time a Seattle team has been to a finals since '05, so of course you're happy!

Yeah, I'm watching today but normally I wait 'til my evening. It's all good though. I stay away from the Bore on those days. You've got me good a few times.

I'm getting serious Westbrook hate on twitter, damn. Do not understand how people can watch and not see how insanely good this kid is, and how much more he helps rather than hurts OKC. Maybe it's box-score watchers only?

Good to know. I'll be more careful about that next season. Pure speculation of course but how do you think the Celtics would have fared against the Thunder?

I am most intrigued by how the Bulls and Spurs would have done against the Heat. They caught a few breaks, really. Bizarre to think that the Pacers and Celtics gave them the most trouble!

No, I don't think so.  In fact I think they were hugging for a good 30 seconds.  KD is a class act.  Got a little sad seeing him hugging his parents, he started crying.  But I'm not worried about him: He'll get one soon.

ah.

Yeah, a KD championship is utterly inevitable at some point. His growth trajectory has been ridiculous, and he's still at least 5 years from his peak.

The great thing is what this does retroactively for LeBron's other accomplishments.  Like remember when he scored about a hundred points in a row to put a knife through the heart of the Pistons in the ECF?  We're now allowed to remember that happened and talk about it!

Kevin Arnovitz feels my feels

http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/46336/lebron-james-and-the-end-of-all-that

Yeah. I'm guilty of it occasionally myself but the psycho-analysis, the narrative making, the weird detest that somebody exercised their personal right to free agency. It all became very weird at best and sort of disgusting at worst.

I enjoyed Gilbert's crazy though.

Still, hard to believe that people actually sympathized with a crazy billionaire subprime loan-profiteer over a hard-working and talented man who just wanted to play with teammates on his level? No racism there, no sirree

Baron's performance was especially impressive when u consider how few jumpers he took.  I'm not sire if even MJ could have done that against a team as athletic as OKC.

It was so weird to see the role players step up for Miami if you've watched them all season like I have. Lebron drew so much attention that they finally hit the easy shots. As an example.

This was Shane Battier all Season

Pre All-Star Game (34 games): 22.3 MPG, 4.5 PPG, 38.9% FG, 36% 3FG
Post All-Star Game (32 games): 23.9 MPG, 5.1 PPG, 38.5% FG, 32% 3FG
Round 1 vs. Knicks (5 games): 27.6 MPG, 6.0 PPG, 34.6% FG, 32% 3FG
Round 2 vs. Pacers (6 games): 29.3 MPG, 3.8 PPG, 21.2% FG, 27% 3FG
Round 3 vs. Celtics (7 games): 38.0 MPG, 7.1 PPG, 36% FG, 35% 3FG

This was Shane Battier in the finals.

37.6 MPG, 11.6 PPG, 61.3% FG, 58% 3FG

Yeah, it really felt like watching House and Posey killing the Lakers in game 6 in the 2009 season finals. Something just broke in OKC in the 3rd quarter and it turned into a rout. Then silly things started to happen.

The danger of course is that someone ends up thinking that is how good those guys actually are, and then they get signed away by the Hornets for 7 million per.
