The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to send veteran small forward Andrei Kirilenko, a 2020 second-round draft pick and cash to the Philadelphia 76ers for second-year forward Brandon Davies,

...

Kirilenko is in the final year of a $3.3 million contract, and will be waived in Philadelphia once the deal is completed, sources said. Kirilenko would become a free agent, but it could still be several weeks – even months – before he's ready to sign a deal to play elsewhere this season, sources said.

KG was apparently strongly suggesting to reporters that this is the start of the rumored blow-up of the team.

He should sit tonight, regardless of his knee. They've won enough recently. They just need to win enough to be a 2 seed.

We can all admire the gritty stylings of Dellavedova instead.

I thought I was the only DFS player here. Can't really say because short slate days like today are... odd. Some nobody always ends up going off. I wouldn't play $50 on a day like today. But anyway...

Kyrie is generally much worse away than at home. No Bron really changes things up for the team though.

We all know about Kyrie's "defense". Bestbrook should be taking advantage of him all game. Plus PGs are better at home.

Center position is shit today. Might as well go for the cheapest option that gets consistent minutes.

DFS is extremely random. Just go with your gut regardless of what anyone says. Your lineup could workout great assuming that Bron sits. If he doesn't, I'd make a new one.

Well panic would imply that they are under-performing. They are currently the 7th seed in the east. 6th or 7th is about where they belong. So they are performing about average versus expectations. Them falling outside of the playoffs is probably more accurate  to them under-performing.

And who didn't see this coming? Time to start throwing people under the bus like Kobe always does.

Quote
Kobe Bryant returned to practice for the first time this month and called his teammates "soft" during a heated 5-on-5 scrimmage between the starters and reserves Thursday.

When practice was opened to the media, Bryant and Nick Young were already trading barbs during the scrimmage with Young telling Bryant, "Nobody in the world can guard me one-on-one," and Bryant telling Young, "You're going exactly where I want you to go."

Later Bryant said, "You mother-----s are soft like Charmin in this mother-----. God damn, is this the type of s--- that's going on in these practices? Now I see why we've lost 20 f-----ing games. We're soft like Charmin. We're soft like s---."

Never had a game get blacked out before (I didn't even think it happened to international LP users), can you watch games delayed if they were blacked out live?

Certainly gone for the game.

He could put pressure on it as he was helped off the court but I bet he's going to miss some games.

Cavs down a lot going into the 4th. You see the problems magnified with Lebron gone. He is the only one who has the real ability to draw people in and dish. Kyrie basically just goes one on one and tries to score by comparison. He can be successful at it. But its not the same as when Lebron does it. Cavs not generating enough easy shot attempts for everybody.

It's a meaningless game. But its still a bit unfortunate to see them shoot 35% on offense with the amount of offensive talent they have. I don't think it matters probably with the composition of this team and with Lebron but its always interesting to see how talent either helps other talent or doesn't in some cases.

The more I see of Kyrie the more I think this idea that he needs to be a traditional point guard is misguided. He just doesn't have it in him. Which isn't a flaw per se. Just the kind of basketball player he is with his built in strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah you could kind of see that coming. Lance needs a place that has a bunch of strong leaders in the locker room. He also happened to fit in well in Indiana (even with all the turmoil) because of the makeup of that team. Put him in a lot of other situations with a lot more offensive freedom and he will fall back on his weaknesses.

Yup, he needs to go to a Portland or an Oklahoma City and be a third/fourth option or a premiere bench option for a contender.

MIAMI -- An already injury-riddled Heat team absorbed two significant blows Monday, with Josh McRoberts likely lost for the season to a right knee injury and All-Star center Chris Bosh sidelined indefinitely with a strained calf.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra announced the status of both players after Monday's practice, a session in which the team had just eight players available in advance of Tuesday's game in Brooklyn. The Heat also could be without star guard Dwyane Wade, who missed Monday's practice with a stomach virus.

"Injuries are a part of this game -- how you respond to adversities, to things that are tough, that's what reveals your collective character as a group," Spoelstra said. "I told the guys there will be brighter days. It always usually evens out at the end. We're being hit pretty strong with the injury bug right now."

The Heat (11-13) are off to their worst start in Spoelstra's seven seasons as coach and now face the challenge of moving forward for the next several weeks with a severely depleted roster. McRoberts, one of the team's top free-agent additions this past summer after the departure of LeBron James, is scheduled for surgery to repair a torn meniscus within the next few days.
