1000 bucks a night? You can stay at an actual luxury resort for a quarter of that price without outing yourself as a huge dork.

Excuse me, sir. You cannot put a price on putting this trip on your Instagram to impress all your other friends. That's worth at least 2000 dollars in E-cred.

No, it's not getting worse. They only banned those users so they can say "Hey look! We're not a hate site". They didn't want this coming back to haunt them. It had nothing to do with them coming to a realisation that it was inappropriate. They're exactly as bad as they've always been.

But here is where I'm confused and skeptical. Supposedly, any time you get diagnosed with a new injury and need to go to PT, you can claim $40 in cash for first 10 appointments. That is unsustainable and hard to believe. Especially for every new injury diagnosed by the doctor. They lose max $400 every injury someone gets and has to go to PR. If someone pays $7 every two weeks, it would take around 55-57 weeks to recoup costs of person. Thats where I'm like it's too good to be true.

So has anyone used or know of any experiences with Aflac? Is it a scam? Is it legit? I literally don't know much about insurance or policies to be honest

Just giving Brazil money is obviously the best action, but now they’ve got a bad actor in charge.

Sanctions and tariffs on their agricultural exports would be a better option that military intervention.

I'm not talking about embargo like in NK or Iran. Not for imports. I'm talking about not allowing any Brazilian agricultural exports on the major markets. And freeze the extern assets of the rich people who are financing the whole circus.

It is adorable and terrifying in equal measures that Americans think that their country can intervene militarily for benevolent reasons when they are just as busy fucking over the environment in the USA.

Maybe not burning forests bad but your president backed out of the Paris climate accords and has been tearing down environmental protections as fast as he can.

Maybe the rest of the world should intervene in the US?

Like, what fucking planet you all live on? If the US intervenes it will be so that IT gets to exploit those resources. Holy shit Americans are fucking infuriating.

to be quite honest, I'd be pretty much alright if a nation like Canada invaded the US to intervene in the worlds behalf to stop the current administration from basically ruining everything.

          Is this treason, then?

Isn’t that amazon forest provides 20 percent of the world‘s oxygen claim highly disputed?
IIRC there are some that say that the amount of oxygen it provides is almost negligible.

Invade Brazil, which should take only a couple of weeks, with no pushback by any other South American nations, I guess... And then what ? Put water bombs on the F18s ?
It's kind of fascinating the pavlovian answer is jumping straight to military invasion rather than something like "try to have the international community negotiate a deal with Brazil to fund / manage firefighting" or "forest preservation" or somesuch. Not a magical solution by any means, and probably means sweetening Bolsonaro with billions in grant -some of which will assuredly get grifted- but still less expensive, needlessly cruel & lethal and probably more efficient than a  WAR.

I'm not exactly henry kissinger, but I'm pretty sure bolsonaro just wants a payout as a UN development grant, or ecological protection fund or similar, but also wants to look like a big dick super power to his followers by fronting that he doesn't care rather than going cap in hand.

ie there's probably a very fucking easy diplomatic solution.
