Nice.

How old are you? I'm 27 and still haven't taken mine, been thinking about it a lot recently and looked up prices. But man, the time commitment to that shit sucks. Back in Cebu you just had to go order one, and you got that driver license. Way easier.

Im in my early 30s, never needed a car before but now I do (living in Jylland..) Moment i took my first lesson i was like shiiit should have done this a decade ago. Ive had a motorbike a few years back but a car is just more practical with a family.

Anyhoo time commitment is not that bad? If I can do it with a family and a full time job so can you 👊🏻

Now back to Danish Language school though  :'(

That's pretty cool! Better late than never, huh. I don't see myself ever wanting to drive, especially not in Tokyo. Kinda frightening.

Why are you learning Danish?

:kobeyuck

I meant in general, I'm not really looking for a specific course. I'm guessing the best way might just be a book and video?

I can't speak for 3d modelling but for most things I find that having a tangible short term goal helps. Like start with "I want to make a cube" and then go "now I want to make a simple house" and not "I'm going to accurately model that Australian Opera House".

Yeah. It's busy, for sure. But despite being crowded, drivers are very polite and consistent.

Unless you are frequently traveling to difficult to reach destinations, there is absolutely no reason to own a car in Japan. Buses are slightly less convenient, but the number of trains in your area is probably second to none worldwide.

I'm also in Jylland and honestly fine with it. I'm starting to like being a town persons, rather than Copenhagen. Got its obvious downsides, but overall I quite like it.

On the HD485, the pads are held in with plastic tabs that are part of the housing. I removed the pads once, which resulted in some of the tabs breaking off. Still enough left to secure the pads to the housing, but for the plastic to be so brittle...

FINE. Revision: "Unless you are frequently traveling to OR STARTING FROM difficult to reach destinations" :lol

finally managed to get replacement ear pads + cushion for my sennheiser hd598

it's a great headphone but the build quality leaves much to be desired

it's good as new now though :whew
Why not just order through Amazon?
Don't feel bad, my pair of Bose QC300 came from a guy who didn't know the ear pads were replaceable. When I accepted them, I didn't know, either. I offered to give them back, but he'd already bought another pair.

Not judging! I used to do both. lol

Snus was super convenient in class, even though it wasn't allowed. Very easy to hide.

My triumph for today: Went out to hang out with new people. I'm still incredibly nervous about that, especially when there is no alcohol involved. But it was fine. Maybe a bit boring even.

One of my neighbors was a huge dip guy, and he kept a coffee can out on his porch to spit into. Seemed kinda gross.
No doubt for some fuck-awful prank. The colour would end up similar to coffee, no?

I chew nicotine gum and am pretty much addicted to that. I only seem to smoke at music festivals now.

The only time I tried chewing tobacco I actually threw up. I guess I took too much. Never tried snus. If you don't have to spit, that's a huge plus. One of my neighbors was a huge dip guy, and he kept a coffee can out on his porch to spit into. Seemed kinda gross.
Chewing tobacco and snus are VERY different. And snus always comes with a tiny pocket (usually on the lid) to put the old one in when you're done. You change it up when it starts "leaking" liquid from being too wet. It's pretty great actually, because since I went to high school, most teens no longer smoke. They just use snus instead. It's a bit gross when people dump them on the ground, but that's still better than seeing cigs everywhere imo.

At the end of this year my brother is going to be moving into a very nice house and I'll be moving in with him in January.

Can't wait to make tinder dates believe I'm hotter shit than I actually am.  :success  :playa

I'll of course be paying him the same amount of rent I'm paying now but at least it'll be for a 4 bed & 4 bathroom house instead of a rinky-dink 1 bed 1 bathroom house that's close to train tracks.  :doge

Forgot to post in here that I got a promotion this week. I know my boss has been trying to make it happen for some time, but being an O&G company, well yeah. So I finally got it and after 3 years with no raises it more than made up for it.  More importantly I've been playing a leadership role in my group for a couple of years now, but now I have the title to reflect it.
