I picked up Firepower a little bit ago. It looked ok. The guy lost his job, and the games he was selling were left by his father who had passed away. It kinda sucked for him, but he didn't need them anymore since he was moving to Louisiana.





He said the game didn't work any more, but it did a few years back. I brought it home and put it together. And yeah it didn't work, but the batteries were old. So I swapped them out and:

WHELP.

It still needs a lot of help, a good cleaning, and plenty of new parts, but the game works, the playfield looks very good, and the backglass is unbelievable for a 37 year old game. It's not buttsex, but I got game.

Took the PCO (Professional Career Opportunities) test for NY State and thought I bombed it, but got a 90/100 on it. A civil service job will probably end up paying me 25,000 less than I make now, but I took it back when I was still hunting.

Also been working on a project for a big pharmaceutical company, and their IT team seems to be really happy with my work. It's my first big project using Groovy/Grails (I'm a .NET guy) so that was cool. Of course I tried to use client-side JS as much as possible
