It's funny how many I know hate The Walking Dead and still watch it religiously.

It's the only zombie show on TV. It's just not immune to being pretty bad.

gtfo, the season season has been a major improvement. Basically, shit canning Darabont saved the show. Yes, the first half of S2 was bad, but the second half has been very solid and I look forward to where this show will go in the future, assuming AMC doesn't fuck up the budget

Not by a lot -- there's still putrid character drama, no zombies (this finale being an exception, I guess), and some of the stupidest decisions made by characters on TV.

Darabont wasn't the problem -- the pilot remains the best thing the show has done --,  it's the rest of the writers.

I think the Mags storyline will ultimately be the highlight of the series, but somehow I'm finding the general quality of S3 to be the best one yet.

Mags is incredible and in like her second appearance made it clear she wanted to just keep life as it was and protect the family.

I'll be giving this another shot. The first season started off so well only to dissolve into some truly stupid red herring nonsense week after week. Perhaps things get better for the second season.

I randomly started watching Lost a while ago.  Show is...ok, except the personal stories are shitty for most of the characters.

Michael is a dickbag; he's picks fights with the two most resourceful people on the island (Johnny Gat and the bald guy).  The druggie band guy is annoying.  Sawyer is bipolar.  Um, fat guy seems alright.  Pregnant lady is annoying.  Arab guy's ok.  Jack is ok.  The weirdo incest brother and sister are annoying.  Mrs. Johnny Gat is resourceful but annoying.

Not done season 1 yet.  I hope they stop focusing on the lame characters.

I wouldn't honestly say ignore what most people say about Lost. It's one of those shows that has very vocal hate. Make up your mind about everything on it. Although I agree. Don't go in expecting an amazing pay-off.  It has some really good stretches. And some awful stretches.

It's a consistently entertaining show that's easy to fall in love with. It's also a show you could wind up being bitter or disappointed with, depending on how much you like the earlier seasons.

The final season actually had a number of good to great eps (with Ab Aeterno being the crowning achievement) but it seemed like every other episode lost any progress the previous ep made. And as the episode count got higher and higher it was easy to get antsy and think "fuck, they aren't going to cover everything." Yup

Yeah, with Lost you really do get caught up with the characters and mystery of the island. Keeps you going through the bad overall archs of certain individual seasons.

I'm already aware that the ending is supposed to be bad and whatever but i don't mind.  The last hour of several dozen doesn't suddenly ruin them.   There are one or two plot things I'm aware of already, just from listening to GFW radio back in the day or other memes (that "we have to go back" picture).  But I'm enjoying it.

I plan to watch Battlestar Galactica or whatever after this because I hard that has a disappointing conclusion too.  Blue ball entertainment

I'm on episode 19 on lost.  It's an episode that focuses on Locke's past and I think that's interesting.  The heroin addict guy's stuff is so boring I fast forwarded the segments about his past; maybe I missed something important to his character but w/e he's annoying.

edit:  one bitch move by Sawyer wasn't killing that boar.  Like ffs they keep  bitching that Locke doesn't get boar and people are hungry, and there's a boar there to kill and eat, but ooooh no not this boar.  so unresourceful.

Booooo. I liked Luck, and was enjoying its pace, and where it was headed. It was a little slow, sure, but it was clearly building toward some serious stuff.

Lost must've been a total bitch to watch as it aired.  Five out of six episodes end halfway into a tease.  That remaining one is a everyone somberly partying in slow motion.

Best part is you'd expect the next episode to pick right up, but nope.
