Woah woah woah woah. Hold the fuck up. I just looked up what Rick and Morty is. It's by the guy that did The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti, and is basically a TV adaptation? Sheeeeeeeeeeeit.

It's like a combination of the hilarity of some of [as]'s more out-there shows, like Superjail!, with the nihilism espoused by early-season Rust in True Detective, and a dash of absolute insanity.

Don't think about it.

My favorite show is tied between Simpsons 1-10 and Seinfeld. The best show I've seen is The Wire.

It finds a groove around episode 3/4, I think. The only times it is troublesome are when it dips too far into the surreal. The show is excellent because it toes the line of surreality with its very broad, pun intended, humor.

Also because it's the only show you can watch on TV that doesn't dress up female sexuality as something innocent and virginal and beautiful. Sometimes women are perverted as fuck, like men are, and are thirsty for dick. Ilana is my favorite female character on TV right now for that reason.

"I WANT SOME PINK DICK!"

IIRC, they had one of those lags between seasons where people start signing up for other shows and nobody's sure if it's going to come back, etc. Then they were supposed to do like two movies or something instead of a short final season.

And well, now we know where that led.

Worth it though.

Last year they fired the guy who created it due to drama with Chevy Chase. They brought him back this season and it has been a lot better (they refer to last season as the Gas Leak years).

It's actually kind of surprising that one person can make or break a show like that.

I don't think this season of Arrow is that hot either. I thought the first was better which seems to be the opposite of the fan consensus. I haven't watched the last two eps because I don't give a fuck about Suicide Squad and Birds Of Prey. Also: I am watching other shows that are of higher quality, which makes Arrow look worse.

Hannibal is cool. The writing can be really hacky but the visuals and sound design are top notch. Last weeks episode was the first time I had to look away. Such a gross murder.

Second season of Arrow is much stronger. Less of the CW stuff. Two action stars with Sara/Black Canary and their fleshing out their roster of characters and the overall world. I think the first season had the advantage of Oliver's identity creation as a draw. This season exists in a world where masked heroes are just a part of life and is more about the shadowy recesses of the world these people come from. I don't know where they will go with things in the third season.

Was a really good finale, didn't get away from being a regular episode while still working in all the "wrap up" and "how things will be after" stuff you expect.

It's way too critically acclaimed. I heard NBC picked it up again because three other networks were eyeballing it. I'm guessing FX, AMC, and probably Netflix.

Biggest problem with Hannibal is that Will Graham is such an awful protagonist that I find myself rooting for psychopathic mass-murderer Hannibal most of the time.

Maybe if Edward Norton were playing Will (as in Red Dragon) things would be different, but something about the way that Will is written really, really annoys me.
First time I've heard someone have a problem with Will. Hugh is acting the shit out of that role and his descent into madness in Season 2 is incredible.

Finished Fringe. Great show.

It's funny to me that the show didn't really hit it's strides until it escaped monster of the week territory and left it's X-Files roots in the past.

Norton was asleep in Red Dragon. Graham in Hannibal is closer to the character in the book, which is funny because Red Dragon was pretty much the book with minor changes. It has to be one of the most faithful film adaptations I have ever watched.
