A segment during episode 2 demonstrates why it's a terrible idea to have women as front-line combatants in war. They are useless. Keep them as nurses or whatever.

This one Drunken Whore is awesome. All of the other Non-Drunken Whores think they are so much better, but they are even worse since they are debasing themselves while only marginally more sober.

So fucking trashy. This bitch is 29, which is nearly 60 in woman years. She is gross. She doesn't even try to make small talk or pretend she's interested in Iowa Pig Tits Hick. She, seriously, upon getting her private time just says "I WANT TO KISS YOU. CAN I KISS YOU!?" She knows she is worthless trash and that she only has one thing worth offering--she can't even pretend to make conversation. This is how women are. She's ugly so I'm sure she ends up in a dumpster.

Jimmy Kimmel is in this episode and he looks like Marcel Marceau. Shockingly, the women look even worse. And we're at the point where the are obviously lying about shit but the Dumb Shit Iowan Titty Farmer is so awestruck that he doesn't care.

"Have you ever dated a farmer before?"
Whore: "Uhhhh, YEAH"
"Oh, what did he farm?"
Whore: "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. . . . .uhhhhh. . . .COWS!!!!"

Again, this dialogue actually happened.

So he made out with this one tramp earlier in the show. After making out with about 12 other pieces of Trash, including one that just drank fresh-off-the-teat goat's milk, she asks "IF YOU LIKED KISSING ME WHY DID YOU KISS ALL THOSE OTHER GIRLS?" Ugh, these things are so dumb that I want to cave their fucking noses in with a shovel. Fucking dumbs.

I hate to keep harping on the makeup, but it deserves the attention. The women are clearly doing their own makeup. The difference from woman to woman is far too drastic for there to be a unified makeup team. Much like real life, these women look like gross. Bore, most of your wives, your girlfriends, your slam pieces, most of them fucking look like Pennywise the Clown from It. It's nasty. You may as well be fucking, like, something that should be appearing on the front of a box of cereal or a creature that should be selling you hamburgers.

Anyone check out 12 Monkeys? I'm mildly curious, but I hold the movie in some serious reverence. It's only a few notches away from trying to make Brazil a TV show. Then again, 12 Monkeys is a sort of adaptation itself. Then again. . .SyFy.

I'm watching it for free on Xbox right now. Seems pretty great so far!

Last night's Parks and Rec was as funny as an abortion hitting the floor. Which is to say it was an improvement over last week.

Watching The Bachelor was so invigorating. There's so much to hate. I wish there was more TV like that :(

Crossing streams in the flash was fucking stupid. you're the flash, this isn't ghostbusters. these guys have no powers, they're just geeks with guns. speed up to them, kick them in the nuts, steal their guns. Fuck. How come swat couldn't snipe the guys when they were trying to take down Flash? Why did they destroy 25 million art piece like it ain't no thing? Why was the 25 million dollar art piece not even covered or protected when taken out of the plane?

Lots of plot holes.

Pretty bad episode, considering the previous episode was great.

Time to see how American Horror Story gets even shittier. I'm not sure my commentary is really worthwhile because I was so fucked up during the last two episodes that I don't remember much aside from Neil Patrick Harris showing up. Ugh, watching this is painful; it's like going to church or something.

Oh, the new episode of The X-Files Files is fuck awesome, btw. It covers 2 of the best eps in the series, Piper Maru and Apocrypha. Kumail Nanjiani also mentioned that William B. Davis (The Smoking Man) will likely be appearing on a future episode of the podcast. Being at what point in the series the podcast is at and its tendency to jump around, I'm hoping it's for Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man, since Davis is a fan.

I need to make an X-Files thread.

Yeah, but they're kind of the peak of the mythology episodes. The next pair, Talitha Cumi and Herrenvolk, are where it starts getting iffy. Those are the eps that introduce Jeremiah Smith and the bees. The set after that, Tunguska and Terma, are black oil-focused (Krychek and Mulder in Russia) and are pretty decent. Basically, for me, bees are where things went wrong.

The one knock I will put on Piper Maru and Apocrypha is that they are the first mythology eps that assume that the viewer knows everything up until that point. The previous mythology episodes, you could jump on board without knowing all the ins and outs of what has happened before.

The movie will have a revered spot forever for me, because Gilliam. I’m excited to see where this show takes their own jetee. They’re using Looper’s downstream effect, which already opens up change, but I’m also wondering where actual paradox will get used and/or explained.

I guess that American Horror Story finale wasn't terrible. There was a lot of death and the last half was pretty fun. Season 4 was a big improvement over 3, but it was still a complete mess. They really need to stick to smaller casts.

Always Sunny wasn't nearly as funny as it could have been given the premise. Far too many of the jokes felt like retreads. I'm not going to call it bad or anything, but it's definitely inessential, aside from Sweet Dee looking fucking bangin' and Frank wearing a cockring.

I found Black Sails on sale (“on sail!” heh) for US$15, so I grabbed it. I’d been waffling on it for weeks, so I’m happy I waited; probably especially happy that I waited until the end of my Crossbones run, which was awash in mediocre plot lines, supported almost entirely by three competent actors. I’d rather have a bunch of bad actors overreaching to fill out outrageous plotlines.

I knew making her Oliver's love interest was a bad idea. felicity is great because she's one of the guys and just one hilarious nerd. Now she's an emotional love struck generic chick. Why did the show runners even mess with the formula? Not every female character needs to be Oliver's love interest. felicity and Oliver doesn't even make sense.

Only one episode in, and I can tell Black Sails is going to crap all over Crossbones. There’s something less schizophrenic about the characters’ motivations.

I liked the episode too, but it definitely dragged in places.

Black Sails picks up steam in the last couple eps of S1. S2 has started off pretty well, but the finale from S1 is fucking awesome and I'm curious to see how they top it this year.
