Just want to apologize and eat crow.
I've been a very big critic of mobile titles for a while. I liked them, but I always saw them as diversions and never as legitimate gaming options outside of stuff like Game Dev Story or ports of classic games.
So over the past few months I've been opening my mind up to them more experimenting and trying to find things I would normally play but on mobile. I'm pleased to say that so far I have been able to enjoy the full palette of my taste on my phone. Yes, an android phone. If you are not finding games you could like on android you're not trying hard enough. That said, to be completely fair, many of the games advertised on play store are absymal and everything I abhor about mobile gaming at large. But when you dig deeper...and I mean really deep, you start to uncover some really, really creative software that is well designed and memorable.
I'm about halfway through Windup Knight 2, and I've beaten all of Smash Hit.
I've installed the following:
Flashout 3d, ittle Dew, Detective Syndrome, The Room, Mount Olympus, DJ MAX Technika Q, Instantion. I have bought a lot others but I'm hurting for HD space and will do them later.
Best thing about these things is that I don't have to dedicate hours to them while they still have the depth and mechanics that I crave.
