The closest Walmart is a 30-45 min drive though. I hope amazon undercuts everyone.

If I'm out and about at walmart I'll find you a copy if possible. I'm currently in the planning stages of my BF warzone mapping. For sure its gonna involve going to the M$ store which has a pretty liberal PM policy, so I could technically purchase the games before hand and then PM them with the walmart ad thus not having to wait in any crazy ass lines. I plan to do that with most of the games in the walmart ad that they have cause walmart likes to fucking put their games in different sections. Thus separating them from one another. This, along with the crazy rumor I heard about free Windows 8 phones and $100 Surface tablets means that the M$ store is high on the priority list.

If you download the Gamefly Download Client, you can download Bioshock for free (while supplies last).

Your tag no longer fits your username, Eel.

I'm getting a Wii U to play Wii games. The HDMI output should make them look a bit less awful and I don't feel like configuring Dolphin at the moment.

Does the Weeoo actually output at a higher res or does it just spit out a proper 480p signal for older games?

I thought I heard something about no higer res output, so probably just 480p.

Target will have them for $49 and Gamestop will have used ones for $50.

The only vita deals you will see most likely will be those that are the bundles. I don't think we will see any non bundle versions going on sale. Best to take advantage of the $50 giftcard from Target's midnight launch of CoD Blops2 and then price adjust (not price match) when its on sale for $199 during BF. Its within the 14 days that Target allows price adjustments and you shouldn't take any shit cause its not a price match. So $199 with a $50 giftcard along with a CoD game.

I'm surprised that the white one's aren't on sale along with the Madden and CoD bundles.

There's a separate "Wii mode" for Wii and Virtual Console games.  Supposedly you can't use the tablet or 360 controller in it; only the wii remote and wii accessories.  So, expect less.

I'd bite on a $49 Wii if I can get it to play imports. Gundam 0079 time, baby.

If the missus agree's maybe you can have ours since we are getting a WiiU. We have a first gen which has backwards compatibility with GC games and is easier to mod.

not the newer ones from my understanding. plus with the older ones you get the backwards compatibility to run any region gc games.

I'm not sure what three sets you're referring to.  But Nintendo expects you to already own a Wii Remote if you're buying a Wii U, so both versions of the Wii U only include the tablet.  If you don't own a Wii Remote, you'll need one.

Where it gets tricky is with the Classic Controller situation.  Wii U 360 Controller only works with certain Wii U games.  Wii Classic Controller (Pro) only works with Wii/Virtual Console games in the "Wii mode."

It's still up in the air whether it supports the original Wii Remote for Wii U software.  Nintendoland seems to require the Wii Remote Plus, but I don't think Tank Tank Tank uses motion controls at all.

In short, the nearly full experience:  Wii U Tablet, Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuck, and Wii Classic Controller (Pro).

that's definitely good idea.   I have like $60 and $70 credit at gamestop/amazon respectively to knock down the $199 bundles already, but for people who don't, that's a pretty great deal.

I dont think that will do much, since its a reprint. You need the original copies with the soundtrack to really build interest.

It's a great game though.

Anyone that doesn't buy it for this price is an idiot. The game is fucking great, probably the most complete open-world racing experience on the market.
But it's a sim racer, right? I'll stick to NFS.

It's a hybrid of both, with the game leaning more on the Arcade side.

NFS is a really fun game online but sucks offline. Forza Horizon is a game that's really fucking good offline or online. Playground Games is made up of some of the brightest minds to work on racing games, they know their shit.
I'll be getting both if I'm lucky.
