There is all kinds of region locking on Steam. But never experienced this with a code I bought online before. If a game is available on steam in my region, it should activate. Anyway, i put in a support ticket. Worst case is I get it refunded I guess.

green man gaming has the most backwards-assed cart process i have ever seen

i entered the code wrong, but accidentally hit continue, and it won't let me go back to the code enter screen saying "you have already initiated the payment process, please blah blah blah" so now i have to wait 10 minutes for it to dump out of the cart

what shithead thought of this

You don't have to get the client, they send you an e-mail with the keys. Or it's in your purchase history on the account page.

Probably should have noted that in my post.

Just thought I'd note the difference between Mac and PC gaming:

PC: GFWL with all the GOTY trimmings, while Mac pays 3X for the vanilla version. And people are probably buying it.

If you are trying to be a gamer and have a Mac exclusively, you deserve to have a stupidity tax.

I bet if you combed through the history of on-line communication, the first example of port begging was done by a Mac owner.

I agree with that statement; I don't game on my Mac at all. I was surprised to find myself playing FTL on it, and there's some stuff coming from that LA Gamespace Kickstarter, but historically I don't play on my Mac at all. When I think about games on the Mac, I am reminded of this video:

I used to be a PC gamer, starting with PC/XT and PC/AT builds, and kept at it until WinME destroyed my willingness to deal with updating windows just so I could play games. I may go back to it if I ever clear my console backlog.

Gamestop has digital copies of Far Cry complete for £5. That includes Far Cry 1, Far Cry 2 Fortune's Edition, and Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition. Presumably it should have been £49 and somebody has fucked up.

Looks like they've fixed it. Hope they don't cancel my order.

oh fuck yeah, I slept on the $15 VF5 Complete bundle last time.  I'll gladly get the vanilla game for $7.

Definitely getting Daytona and Crush at $2.50.  already own afterburner...the fuck is Sega Heritage Collection? Some kind of Hedgehog breeding game?  I guess I'll go look this up.
