Store’s special this week is just about every Star Wars game you’ve ever liked, save the flight sims. Proceeds go to Unicef at your discretion.

A bunch of stuff on sale on the eShop of note is the Atlus stuff

http://www.nintendo.com/eshop/offers

SMT IV, EOIV and the Devil Survivor and Devil Summoner Soul Hackersfor  $14.99 each (amongst others)

If you don't have EOIV buy it, best in the series.

What about SMT IV and Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers? I haven't played either of those. Are they good? I've played the DS version of Devil Survivor, I had mixed feelings about it. It felt too "grindy" for me.

SNK and Konami sales on PSN this week:
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-us/weekly-deals/cid=STORE-MSF77008-WEEKLYDEALS

that Konami selection

and those SNK prices

but this is the only time SNK games will have any sale for the next 10 years, so might as take advantage.   I got Neogeo Heroes Ultimate Shooting

it gets the job done for me.  upscales PSP games nicely too, way better than PSP 2000 output.

That can play maybe 1/5th the library.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Okay, that's a lie since future releases pretty much support it out of box.

Yep, same here. I don't want to have to look up if a game is compatible before I buy it. The slim Vita is a great system and if I want to play something on the big screen I'll boot up my PS4 instead.

Yeah, does that mean they'll be $20 on PC too?  I mean it's true some indie stuff has come out at $20 (Ethan Carter/The Long Dark/etc...) but that just means I wait an extra 3 months until it's <$10 on steam.

That's a good deal, but I want Bloodborne, so the Amazon $399 with Bloodborne and $20 giftcard is better.

They weren't in yesterday.

Yeah, the JPY is weak right now, so the USD is worth more. The price here doesn’t change based on it, but it’s nice to think about it being less than if I’d try to buy it in ‘Murica.

Going to look at a few places downtown today. First time in a LONG while I’ve taken a trip to the developer meet-up in Osaka. Also going to try to find my way to Craft Beer Base en route, but I may need to struggle through some more work instead.

Follow-up: I went back to the place that had it for ¥30,000 several times, and they didn’t have them in stock. Yesterday I went to Nipponbashi, the geeky area I took you to during your visit, and every place had them for ¥40,000 - ¥46,000 -- which is not much different from new. Basically, no-one I wanted to deal with because they’re far away if I have to arrange a return, and no-one had prices I could justify.

I get home and visit the local place again, and they’ve got one... ONE in stock for ¥36,000 and it’s “used” but unopened, and was only purchased a week before, so the manufacturer’s one-year warranty still has 51 weeks on it.

So now I have a PS4.
