Better than Spartacus.  Haven't seen Banshee though.

Also that fire extinguisher scene in episode 2

No.  Who was he?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spartacus

Quote
Spartacus (111–71 BC) was a Thracian gladiator who, along with the Gauls Crixus, Oenomaus, Castus and Gannicus, was one of the escaped slave leaders in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Little is known about Spartacus beyond the events of the war, and surviving historical accounts are sometimes contradictory and may not always be reliable. All sources agree that he was a former gladiator and an accomplished military leader.

This rebellion, interpreted by some as an example of oppressed people fighting for their freedom against a slave-owning oligarchy, has been an inspiration to many political thinkers, and has been featured in literature, television, and film.

Wow, what a pro-slavery asshole!

If (apparent) pro-something-you-dont-like views in a show makes you not watch a show despite strong writing, action, and direction, your life not only must be incredibly boring (bordering on echo chamber), but you're an idiot as well. Sorry breh.

Agreed. Nasir/Agron is one of the few gay relationships on TV that doesn't actually break up. In fact, they love each other more as time goes on.

Spartacus has amazing storytelling, beautiful lines of dialogue, and probably some of the best hand-to-hand fights we'll see on TV in our lifetimes. It's only flaw was that practically every female character was sort of weak or totally psychotic. Arvie suggesting that slave rape is pro-slavery.  :foxx

In other news, I just finished the last season of Walking Dead. The new black man suddenly dying/getting replaced immediately cycle has to stop, it's just stupid and shows that they're too afraid to kill off the main characters that have been around since the beginning and yet they want to keep diversity ratios. I hate to say it, but Glenn has to go. He's my favorite character and one of the most competent but he's like the Oenemaus of this show where he's just too good of a person to be the last survivor.

I think it's the performance more than the character.  Jon Favreau as Foggy might be the only thing from the Afleck Daredevil that's preferable to the Netflix series.

yeah, the actor delivers all his lines with the same inflections.  he's fine when he's being a bro.  foggy in the comics is a bro, the writing got that.  really stands out with all the other solid actors on the show.  deeper into the series and it's still the only thing bothering me about it.  rest of daredevil netflix is awesome.

and as much as I like vincent d'onofrio, I'll always have a soft spot for michael clarke duncan's kingpin.
