Chapter is so good and confirms all the talk we (I) was talking about pages earlier about artificial devil fruits.

Read the chapter then look at this :o

:bow ODA

spoiler (click to show/hide)
So Smiley was a Smile and after dying, his devil essence went back into that devil fruit for future testing/sale. Badass.

So maybe the Devil Fruits rule I came up with a few pages back only applies to artficial devil fruits? I think not. I bet that with the knowledge that Blackbeard is off collecting DFs that Doflamingo and co are trying to beat them. A Devi Fruit arms race so to speak. Pekums is probably the first of the artificial devil fruit users we've met. I'm sure Big Mom's entire crew are made up of Zoans. :o

Along with this, imagine Law's part in this. He has a crewmate that is a talking bear. Is Bepo a Smile user? Is that why Law's jolly roger is similar to Doflamingo's?

According to an interview manga on Weekly Shonen Jump, Oda Eiichiro revealed that he gets up 5am and works until 2am. He would go on a trip with his family if he had a free time but he has absolutely no day off. He feels happy to be a mangaka when he meets famous mangaka he admires such as Toriyama Akira. What he wants the most now is an interesting idea for the story.

Caught up on the last 2 chapters.  Good stuff.  I like how Cesear never gave Luffy any challenge at all.  Even Monet was tougher.  Luffy just kept pounding on Cesear over and over and over.  Was great!  The pacing is going pretty quick these days.  Fights are just bam bam bam over.  Some good fights in the arc though with the Monet battles and Law/Smoker v Vergo.  I wonder when we'll actually see Luffy have to put up a real fight again.  But after like 5 or something straight arcs of Luffy getting his ass kicked pre-timeskip I guess it's fair to let him have a few arcs of destroying everyone without a sweat before he gets back to challenging battles.

I like this epilogue fight that they're setting up.

yeah, luffy got trashed when caesar sucked the air out of the area. however, caesar's no fighter. enel and crocodile had more melee chutzpah, which made them more threatening as logia types. caesar's just a vile sadist and a coward with a pretty strong logia power. vergo probably woulda given luffy more of a fight, since he brutalized smoker and law for a fair bit.

I like how the characterization of Doflamingo runs contrary to what many thought he was. I thought Flamingo uses his henchmen like cattle, like Caesar, but he actually seems to legitimately care about Vergo and Monet. They too place faith in him and are willing to die for him. Also he wants to be pirate king? Why do they call him young master - is he a noble? Gosh I love Flamingo and the mystery surrounding his character.

Chapter was just ok (translation seemd a little more iffy than usual in the dialogues), but the end certainly got interesting.  New World just doesn't want to slow down.
