Been watching the Tudors. (Showtime/Netflix)

It's alright. I think everybody does a great job acting but the guy playing the king himself. Unsure if I'll get through all 4 seasons though.

The chick who plays Anne Boleyn is fucking :lawd

Not seen: Them titties.

That's Natalie Dormer. She's been in A Game of Thrones, and has been naked there. She's pretty hot.

If you like Psych or stuff similar to it, they did a Twin Peaks homage episode with like all the cast that was pretty fun.

I've been watching this now cancelled show Benched because it has Jay Harrington (Better Off Ted) and Eliza Coupe in it.

It's actually pretty good.

Maybe I just like shows about defense attorneys, I liked The Defenders reboot with Jim Belushi quite a bit.

New episodes next year, breh.

Lynch was interviewed like a couple weeks ago and said he wasn't sure it was still happening:

someone on GAF posted a reddit link of someone who was at Lynch's speak and he said Lynch never said S3 won't happen. It's being reported inaccurately.

Watched two shows I hadn't seen before. iZombie and The Last man on Earth.

iZombie is produced by Rob Thomas who did Veronica Mars. That perked my interest.

This show is not as good as Veronica Mars.

It is still somewhat likable if formulaic once you strip out the zombie conceit. It's like a weekly murder mystery show. The lead is charming and likable enough. It's just missing that special something to make it really something. It's okay and certainly watchable relative to most TV.

Last Man on Earth was a surprise. That show is very funny. Feels like Curb your Enthusiasm a bit mixed with the high concept plot. Will Forte is real funny and conniving as the lead. I'm not sure how long you can stretch a premise like this but so far I've enjoyed and laughed at pretty much every episode.

Hannibal is pretty cool. A few episodes deep into season 2. It gets a little silly sometimes but it's at a p rare level of quality for a network tv drama. Good performances all around. I like Will.

I still have to try and get through S1. I tried watching it twice on my laptop and through it's speakers about 1/2 of what Mads Mikkelsen says in unintelligible. I'm usually pretty ok with heavy accents too, but so much just wasn't registering. Probably need to watch it with my earbuds in.

It's pretty weird because it seems like it's one thing network execs would pick up on even if they seem pretty hands-off with the show overall. Insisting on clearer diction during ADR is probably one of the few notes that would've been helpful.

yeah these new seasons of shows caught me by surprise.  didn't realize mad men was back until sunday morning, louie back tonight, game of thrones on sunday, etc.

Arrow actually gets a lot better a few episodes in and stays pretty sold.  I haven't watched this season after the mid season though.

It's been bad, and the flashbacks simply aren't compelling.

They need to relegate or kill off like half the cast. it's bloated, none of the main character cylinders are firing right, and the new characters are meh.

the flashbacks are nothing now, boring and pointless.  I remember when flashbacks in season 1 made parallels to the main story and were as interesting in their own right.  and
spoiler (click to show/hide)
turning Oliver into a weird boring depressed dude obsessed with Felicity is dumb.  in the other two seasons Oliver had a life, went on dates, all that.  this season he's just hanging out in his basement when he's not the arrow.

Yeah this season has been kind of a slump. Rha's Al Ghul has been a pretty unimpressive antagonist. And the amount of people hanging around the Arrow cave has gotten absurd. It leaves little room for character development, and what has been there takes characters in horrible directions.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Felicity- She has become so obnoxious, devolving into a typical CW romantic caught between two loves. Plus they have made her a wet blanket about EVERYTHING. Awful.
Diggle- He's gotten some good storylines like getting married, and he's usually Oliver's first choice for backup, but with all the other new characters joining team Arrow he is starting to seem pretty unnecessary. Hopefully they can think of a reason to keep him around because I like him.
Roy- Hasn't really done anything of note this season. the last episode ended with him possibly given a chance to shine though? We'll see.
Laurel- The only character who has improved this season. She's got some interesting conflicts going on too (vs. her dad, vs. the organization her sister belonged to, vs. the two people who killed her sister, vs. her sister's lover)
Thea-I thought they were going to improve her the same way they improved Laurel, but the only interesting thing she has done all season she had to be mind controlled to do. All she really does now is sulk around making passive-aggressive comments
Nyssa- It could be interesting having her go against the League of Shadows, but really it just feels like having her join Team Arrow has made their group way too bloated.
Merlyn- I guess they've turned him into Spike now, where he'll show up to help Team Arrow from time to time under the pretense of doing it for selfish reasons. The characters should all outright hate him, but it seems like they just have a mild distaste for him now.

Phew, that is a lot of characters crowding that Arrow cave. As for the miscellaneous other characters:

Rha's Al Ghul- Okay, so he wants Oliver to be his successor, it was done in the Batman comics, and I can get behind that. But his master plan was to cosplay as Oliver and then go tattling to Detective Lance with Oliver's secret identity? Weak.
Detective Lance- Him turning the city against Oliver and his team will be good for the show
Ray Palmer- This guy should be an amazing foil for Oliver. He has different ideas of how to clean up the city, and he has a bootleg Iron Man suit, so that should lead to some great clashes between the two.  He took over Queen industries in a hostile takeover, so Oliver should also be struggling with him on a civilian front. But instead, all they really do is make sour faces at each other because they both love felicity. What a squandered opportunity.
Shado- She's really Alive! Oh wait, it's actually her unmentioned identical twin sister. LOL

first episode of DD.  Pretty good.  Fight scenes aren't captain America 2 good but easily the best TV fight scenes.  Also its darker in tone than I expect for marvel.  There is one scene of a dude who just shot himself in the head and their is blood splatted all over the back wall; there is sex trafficking; and a bunch of blinded people packaging dope.  Also the girl is super hot in that scrawny blond way.
