Folks are digging the track but I find it to be pretty meh, to say the least. It reminds me of that French Montana single (Pop That) in the sense that the label threw every major name on it and the actual album artist is overshadowed; ASAP's verse is pretty forgettable, just like French's verse is forgettable on Pop That. meh...

Hopefully the album has some Clams beats. I'd also like to hear him rap over a T-Minus beat

I think it'll be pushed back again; he seems to be struggling at turning his buzz into sales or radio play. IMO he fucked up with that Lana Del Rey song; it has a dope beat and hook but the verses sound like placeholders. Plus it got leaked before it was finished, I don't remember the video being good either.

That 2Chainz/Drake/Kendrick song doesn't have a video yet either, which may suggest the label isn't happy with the response

Album is great. I must say I was super worried about it after the snippets were released; the beats didn't sound grimy or interesting. Most of Roc's music is very loop heavy, often with sparse drums, so if the sample isn't providing an interesting canvas it can be rather boring. Luckily the full project sounds amazing for the most part. Lyrically he's still on point; he reminds me of mid nineties Prodigy or Raekwon in terms of just spitting crazy vivid threats and boasts.

Right now I want to say it's better than Marcberg but I haven't decided yet. I'm not sure he has topped Snow or Ridin Around yet, but this album is full of some of his best tracks

It's basically just some guys rapping over 2004/2005 mixtape beats. Boring verses boring beats, although a couple songs are dope (Stick Em, Crack Stories). I would say it's slightly below average given these rappers are better than most though, and tbh I wasn't expecting it to be good

Rae and Meth have the best verses on there, and Styles P. Ghost stands out on a few tracks but on others he's just...there. I don't see why these dudes were so hyped about releasing this album. They haven't even put out a video and don't seem to be marketing it outside of twitter. They're the definition of dinosaurs: they want the label to do everything for them.

Yea that Wu-Massacre album was laughable; had some dope songs but it was unmastered, had a bunch of old verses, etc. I really thought it would be great, given what they did with the marketing campaign and the album cover.

Oh well. Shaolin v Wu Tang was meh, and imo Ghost's last album was underrated. That's been about it on the Wu front lately. Masta Killa just released an album but I haven't heard it. I was super bummed to hear RZA has been waiting in the studio for Meth, who simply doesn't show up. These guys don't want it anymore...
